Acoustic settings show, who's a great musician. Don't get me wrong: I'm sure many Metalguitarists ie could do good acoustic settings, if they only tried.

But it needs so much more to do a great acoustic piece, without your distortion, double base, etc. (though i really like that one too). This is the heart and soul of music, the purest form of guitarplaying.

dont get me wrong, ive gone through a phase of worshiping metal music and metal icons.

but ive came to realise, that this sort of music has more feeling to it, its almost as if the singer is literally putting you into his shoes.

with metal you get the good heavy "mosh" riffs.

but i think that is the only aspect of metal that makes it worth listening to.

editors and all other good indie/alternative bands FTW.
