Russia was not that close with India in the 60s. The cease-fire was because of a UN Security Council resolution. Russia merely enforced it. But we were not yet close to them in 1965.
If we had not stopped fighting, a UN force by Russia or the US would have forced both us and you out of Kashmir, and probably made it into an independent country. That was bad for us.

Russia was not that close with India in the 60s. The cease-fire was because of a UN Security Council resolution. Russia merely enforced it. But we were not yet close to them in 1965.
If we had not stopped fighting, a UN force by Russia or the US would have forced both us and you out of Kashmir, and probably made it into an independent country. That was bad for us.
As for Shastry, an 2-heart attack patient, dying from a 3rd one is no big surprise.

He delayed it, and there was nothing we could do, as Kashmir was till then, an independent state. As percentages, Punjabi Pakistanis are poorer than Indians, have more HIV sufferers than Indians, less access to public toilets than Indians, more illiterates (lol, Paki, you want to bring this up?!!
