  • oh great way to perpetuate the harley steretype by threatening cagers with harm from your 1% wannabe freinds. Dickholes.

  • @curtmastor Really .. let's see your reaction when 10 of your friends are run over by a dump truck, three of them killed and burned on the spot and the other one brain dead for a day until they pull the plug. And moron, I ride a Goldwing, run a group that is about 40% Harley riders, and put around 20K miles a year on my bikes (as in more than one), and dress this way because it's functional. We are about as far from wannabes as you are from being human. And there was no threat, it's a promise.

  • @curtmastor It's ALOT more than 1% chump. TRUST ME. I have now a nice shiny titanium plate on my hip and my wife has a permenantly destroyed knee because of people that CAN'T HANG UP THE PHONE. And BTW.....they are NOT threats amigo. Bank on it.

  • D--n...didn't see the post went up 3 times.

    My first time on Utube.

    Apologies.

Utube-can you please delete the other two?

  • @2xrayzerase Posts removed as requested .. thanks for sharing your views.

  • I don't see this announcement as threatening in any way.

it is strong clear and telling how it is.

If anyone is threatened by..likely his last words..:..and you don't my friends..to know yours. These words, however, can be taken in many ways.

if unclear-please read the test after he speaks saying "We won't come after you if you do.

    Thank you John

  • Good announcement! As an MSAP instructor in NC, we stress this EVERY class! Thanks for the video..."LOOK TWICE, SAVE A LIFE"!!!

  • all this did was threaten peeps....just for insight sake...that never works

  • @8088ee So I guess all those PSA announcements put out by governments are working. Studies have suggested that bikers that wear dark leathers and look bad-ass are less likely to get into a crash with a car. Why?? Because people are scared of them. High visibility clothing won't make you more visible for someone not looking for you, they don't care about that orange vest behind the screen. But they do notice the gun on my handlebars, I've seen cars back off after seeing it.

  • @8088ee NO this was not a threat...obviously you didn't or couldn't read the last of it.....but would you want your name associated with the death of another human being, word travels fast among friends and your negligence actions will haunt you and your family for the rest of their lives, and it won't "die" down because TO MANY people will KNOW and REMEMBER YOUR name.....

  • I think it was a great video. It is true, these people do not want their names known to some of us. I might not agree but maybe I do that revenge on the ignorant cell phone talking cager will happen.

Most of the people out here in Cali will forget about you after they hit and mame or kill you within a couple days because the will just have a lawyer handle it for them.

  • A moving message there bro car drivers just don't realise the danger to us bikers

  • How about making reflective jackets with a print to wear over your protective gear instead of T-shirts? ;)

  • @knotsable Because they look stupid and don't really offer more visibility. I ALREADY have lights visible from all sides, and a very bright headlight. I can understand how a non-biker might think that adding bright colors and reflective tape would help. No studies have suggested that increased visibility equates to reduced crashes.

    Thanks for the opinion.

  • I won't be distracted and you ride with respect to the laws of the road. Sound like a fair deal?

  • @putterdude I have a better idea .. you don't drive distracted and kill anyone, and your ass won't get thrown into jail and your life ruined by your own stupidity.

  • I've just seen this video linked thru an Irish bike site, I wish that we'd seen it before. I doesn't matter what we wear, if the car drivers are on the phone they are still likely to not see us.

  • dude. the message u should be putting out is, "we are sons and daughters, sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, grandmas and grampas". the public's image of us is already screwed up just because we sport the biker look. people mistake us for outlaws not worth looking out for. it's a good pitch until the end, where you make riders look like outlaws who will take the law into their own hands. that is the last thing we need.

  • @TheShaftjack -- thanks for the opinion. I don't sport a 'biker' look, I ride this way because leather is safer and the doo-rag keeps my helmet on. I prefer not to look like some poser in racing leathers who has more bike than he can handle. Studies have shown that visibility doesn't mean crap, bikers who 'look mean' are less likely to be in crashes than some Jim Dandy in pretty leathers. So I will continue to let people know that whey should be scared and stay away. Make your own video....

  • @johnlcallaway to be fair those racing leathers are based on the same technology worn by the racers on Sunday. Technology proven to help you walk away from a low or high side with minimal injuries. The stuff that saves their asses when they are sliding on the pavement at 100+mph. Sure some are posers but I respect anybody willing to take a few extra measures to save their hide. Appreciate the video though. The more messages the public receives the better.

  • @luvmyteg Thanks for the comment. 'Biker' leather and racing leather are both cowhide. The only real difference is that most 'biker' jackets and chaps don't have kevlar pads in specific places and are designed to be more comfortable. Leather jackets and chaps can be easily taken off and stored in saddlebags as riding conditions change. And I don't ride 100mph down the road (usually). Most motorcycle collisions occur around 30mph. But protection is protection .. even when it's funny looking :-)

  • Good job John, we will never forget March 25, 2010.

  • Excellent and very important message, John...hat's off to you for doing your part to create awareness of this very critical issue!
