  • wheres marilyn monroe????

  • The best time of my life in the 50s

  • I've had my share of girlfriends and they've all been blondes, but my most ardent secret love was always Annette. She had it all. Cute, talented, classy, and sexy in her own sophisticated way. So sad to see her unlucky fate. God bless you Annette.

  • Those were the days - and Neil Sedaka was a big part of it. I'd go back to the '50s & '60s in a heartbeat. Today's evil society just makes me sick.

  • DO A WEB SEARCH ON:

    charles h. miranda OR:

    THANKS.

  • Was Sandra Dee in Gidget ?

  • @27jengirl: I think she was - before Sally Field.

  • @27jengirl Gidget was created by Frederick Kohner in 1957, who wrote a string of novels about her. Gidget came to movies and TV after that and in each case she was portrayed by a different girl. Sandra Dee starred in "Gidget" (1959), Deborah Walley in "Gidget Goes Hawaiian" (1961),Cindy Carol in "Gidget Goes To Rome" (1963) and Sally Field in the 1965-6 TV series. After that came the TV movies: Karen Valentine in "Gidget Grows Up" (1969), Monie Ellis in "Gidget gets Married" 1972), etc.

  • @horarwgt thanks

  • It's heartbreaking to realize that the later lives of every single one of these teen queens was marked by tragedy -- from Annette's MS and Natalie Wood's drowning to Connie's rape and how the death of Bobby Darin caused Sandra to spend the rest of her life in sad seclusion. These girls were all great role models for other young women as well as dream dates for every guy. And what do we have today instead? Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, the Kardashians, etc. Give me a break.

  • @horarwgt: No offense; but your second sentence from the end almost made me puke...makes me think of evil and ugliness!

  • @horarwgt OMG! As I was listening & watching this, I was saying Your Words nearly exactly word to word! These beautiful Women, My Era, had such Personal Tragedys...They were everyone's dream girls...just unbelieavable What Happened to Each of them.

  • It still hurts when I see Natalie's picture

  • girls then were the most beautiful, and classy.

  • beautiful girls :D

  • Very nice compilation of the stars that populated our dreams when we grew - yes I am that old. Those were the "innocent" days of America, the juke boxes, drive-in theaters, hot-rods, the first Mustangs, getting served fries & burgers at your car by a girl on roller skates. That is until you got drafted & shipped to Vietnam (if you were a male). Thank you for the nice memories,

    L

  • the 50s, the last innocent decade. It had an unmistakable culture all its own. Music went through some strange changes after that, and a few generations later, it died. Long may we have the memory of music.

  • AWENSOME :) from Croatia

  • Polskie chłopaki tu byli ;)

  • I wish I lived in the 1950s

  • Congrats!! Nice Song..Nice Pics..Lets See More.

  • Please send me there.

  • the 50s were the shit

  • this song is way better than today's music. the girls are also pretty. I was born in the wrong generation

  • At a time when many Italian-Americans were anglicising their names for the stage, Annette retained her name and heritage becoming the perfect girl next door with the squeaky-clean image. This original Mouseketeer became a fun in the sun partner of Frankie Avalon never relinquishing her contrived hair-do whether playing beach blanket blanket Bingo, slurping a soda at the malt shop or turning in at her girlfriends slumber party.

  • No fake boobs! When will women learn?

  • They're all cute, but no contest - Annette FTW!!

  • As a teenager Annette Funicello used to send me weak at the knees . About the same as they are now at 68 .

  • what is the name of the song and who sing it

  • @SabonninFilms , "Next Door To An Angel" by Neil Sedaka.

  • iam 13 and i loveeeeeeee this song

  • and tuesday weld?

  • @sTALGIE60s50s , I've made a couple of tributes to Tuesday - check out my channel.

  • i wish i was born in that time

  • Definitely a favourite

  • I love how none of them are flashing there breasts or showing there asses in the pictures. You guys should see the teenage girls' facebook photos these days, full on showing there 'boobs' *Sigh*

  • Connie was a teen?

  • Dodie Stevens was so cute when she was 14. Pink shoe laces ---great video from a TV show. What a little sweetheart.

  • What about Ann Margaret, she was big in the 50's as well.

  • Great post msmotvka1 - Born in 1940 - this is my music and era of growing up. Fab. Love listening to it all. Warmest Graham Melb Aus

  • I honestly wish i lived in the 50s everyone thinks im insane when i say it thoo :(

  • @theJarofMar me too! i was definetly born in the wrong decade!

  • @misspbj1999 ya i just wish life was like the 50s it wud be amazing

  • @theJarofMar me too... im really tired of this decades so called "music" it isnt even music! i have loved the 50s since i was 5! i love the music the clothes EVERYTHING! i wear a pair of saddle shoes EVERYDAY to school and i have for about two years now.

  • now we dont have a name to our generation becuase it sucks and why would we call it the 2000s theres nothing really great about that!

  • i agree with all you people! i dont like what girls where today ecspecially alot of theyre makeup is skanky! its like they drowned their face with eyeliner! i love to dress old fashioned and i luv the music but today kids dont even care for it or they say its too old!

  • YA, I'M SOOO GLAD THIS WAS MY GENERATION!! I LOVED IT THEN & I STILL DO. WISH THE SOUNDS & PEOPLE STILL HAD THE SAME CLASS. (CLASS OF 1965)

  • I was born in the wrong generation.

My generation is so pathetic and disgusting.

Girls these days are a disgrace.

This my friends, is what real music sounds like.

  • i love the way they wore their hair back then..and the clothes they wore..very cute and sweet..thanks

  • I would easily trade our technology for the 50's where people had class and style. I mean, wouldn't it be nice to get a love letter instead of a text or a facebook message. Lol. Technology has pretty much ruined communication in my opinion.

  • @bombayday I don`t mind having all the stuff I got now.

I still try to live up to the class of the 50`s. It`s not easy being one of the few tho...

I only wish the modern musicians would try to bring that good old message back to life, instead of blankly reading up lyrics like they don`t mean anything... If it doesn`t mean anything, then don`t sing it!

  • @Charlytrippo I couldn't agree more :)

  • That was a really cute video, thanks for sharing.

  • Marilyn Monroe is not in this list because she wasn't a teenager when these girls were.

  • Sandra Dee was the most gorgeous thing of life :D i adore her in Gidget...I wish she'd played in the other two movies

  • I hate 2000s ...

  • I was lucky to have been a schoolboy in the 50s, I'm retired now with lovely memories of the simple and happy times of that decade. Recovering from the ravages of the war years, people turned to happy tunes and simple lyrics to make their music, a link in the chain which brings us to the modern days of popular music. Thanks for posting these songs, they make this old fella very happy indeed.

  • You people saying you were born in the wrong generation are dumb. I was born in the 90's and wouldn't have it any other way. Plus we have iPods now and can listen to all the music we want

  • @MysticDMBherb who cares about ipods? back then you used to go dances and be social with everybody...ipods are antisocial! People that cant feel comfortable outside of what they know lack education and confidence. I imagine all these new technological advancements make you feel good about yourself...Well they are a lie and distract you from what life is really about! Viva las 50's!

  • @AntonioAzz True. But we can still go do dances now...there are places that play this music if you can find one. Sure its harder to come across, but they can still be just as fun as actually living in the 50's, plus we get all the advantages of living in the 21st. No, iPods are not a lie or distraction...they are great, they had 8 tracks then...this is the same thing, but better

  • @MysticDMBherb , it's true that there are pros and cons to every generation. We have some great advantages today, but some things were better back in those times. If only we could pick and choose!

  • WHY WHY :( , fuck 2000 , i want 50's back! , the growling Inline6'es and the v8 and smell the fuel, the music , little richard, just, EVERYTHING"!

  • Natalie Wood! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH ERRRRRRR I've come over all funny!

    Gorgeous girl.

  • I remember seeing Annette on the Mousekateers when I was in the second grade. I was in love until a few years later I saw Natalie. I forgot about Annette. LOL

  • girls were accualy hot back then and modles accualy could be called modles back then GOD DAMMIT! i want to go back people today are so desincisized.

  • People who talk down on the teen idols of today are really being unfair. I love the 50's, 60's, 80's and 90's but it upsets me when people talk down about MY generation. Don't you think these girls would have been looked down upon in their time too? Older generations would look at them and think THEY looked like skanks because they showed more skin than the generations before them. You can't stop changes in fashion. And Gen Y has much more to offer than just skin and sex, open your minds please.

  • @BodModxCORE Well I was born in the 90's, so I'm young. You see, I like that we have more advanced technology nowadays. But my I saw this video in that took place in the 30's-50's, and the women in that era had class and what they wore/hair was very neat. But if you see in these music videos nowadays, you see people grinding on each other or at the MTV Movie awards this year, Justin timberlake and Mila Kunis were grabbing each other!! What we are trying to is people then had CLASS.

  • @facebooker121 People now days have class too. Who are you looking at? Kim Kardashian? Beyonce? Yeah, no shit, if that's what you look at then of COUFSE we look bad. But what about artists like Adele? Duffy? Marina And The Diamonds? Do you see any of them grinding up on anyone in their film clips? No. You can't just corner our generation into the Kesha's and The Pussycat Dolls and say "it is what it is." No, because we're all too individual.

  • @facebooker121 Ok you calm down you. I ain't trying to bash people as individuals, I mean society, Yes those people you that you picked out do HAVE class do not get me wrong. I like these times -- the 50's b/c of the differences and they're way of speaking. You ask "who am I looking at" is the people I pointed out in my comment. I'm not going to argue. If I offended you, I am sorry, but do not put your anger on me because of my liking.

  • i found this very easy to masturbate to.

i feel dangerous when searching for child sex but with this , you make my dream come true.

  • @nikumuMINA , you can masturbate infront of your grand mother , same success result , trust me !

  • @huynhminhtri i find hard to masturbate in front of a skull.

    your sarcasm attempt failed.

  • @silkysaul:That is what the producers think we want. It is always the bad boy/girl that gets the press. What has America gone to?

  • @lazyboi0111 : Don't feel like the lone ranger!!!

  • MARILYN MONROE IS GREATEST QUEEN NOT ONLY 50s!

  • Neil Sedaka was the biggest queen of them all

  • dammit, i was created in the wrong generation

  • @lazyboi0111 , you and me both!

  • @Muirmaiden ...if there was one wish i could ever get..i would wanna be able to be born on 1935 ...i wish i could have lived through the 50s 60s and 70s ..when beautiful woman dont have to lie and say the smoke or drink to make them look better ughh i wanna restart life ..today is filled with snotty teens whore celebs and wannabes ...pugh gangsters...Mafia Style BEOTCHESS

  • @lazyboi0111 you don't have to go back to '35--I'm a 1944 model (15 in 1959) and caught the WHOLE THING, going back to the start of Elvis

  • @MrPhilgreco ....idc i just wanna live through that time

  • @Muirmaiden all three of us >_<

  • @Muirmaiden me three

  • @Muirmaiden , me too!..

  • @lazyboi0111 Well think of having no internet and having a TV but with only one channel, that would be the 50s.

Can you live with that? xD

  • @sorik20 to live you need internet an more than one channel on a TV..... that's sad

  • @lazyboi0111 same!!!!

  • where is Marilyn Monroe?

  • @AzaiahbBadass , she wasn't a "teen queen", or a teen celebrity.

  • @Muirmaiden why not? just askin' :)

  • Great song!!

  • Think you for posting this video of the girls from the 50's and 60's .I really enjoyed your video very much. Thank you again.

  • SNOWITE15.

AND HOW ABOUT THECLONES OF TODAY. HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF. IM FROM THAT ERA. AND THE GIRLS OF TODAY DONT HAVE ANYTHING ON THEM. THE GIRLS OF TODAY ARE A BUNCH OF MORONS. F411@LIVR.COM COMMANDER WALTER K. VAN DER VEER

  • Lol. The first thing I thought was: NO PHOTOSHOP. It's refreshing.

  • Great old song. Lots of old memories. Boy i can tear up the dance floor with hot footwork to this song.

  • They were pretty and they weren't whores. Amazing!

  • It's odd that you post a picture of Bobby Darrin with Connie Francis but not with his wife Sandra Dee?? Sandra was gorgeous Bobby was very lucky.....

  • @sixstrings2 , the pictures featured are all from the 50s, and since Sandy and Bobby hadn't met yet, that explains it. I've made several tributes to Sandy and Bobby as a couple.

  • @Muirmaiden I see your point, it is a 50's themed video..

  • ザ・ダーツの「ケメ子の歌」のルーツだね。

  • She was the one i had a crush on from the Micky mouse club jejejejeje

  • I would add Connie Stevens ...

  • My eyes bleed! I mean, NATURAL pop idols? I'm not used to that at all!

  • i donot want to be rude ,but how could you leave BREND LEE,PATTIE PAGE,they had hit songs in the 50,s. though PATTIE SANG MOSTLY BALLAD WE DID LIKE THEM SUCH AS CROSS OVER THE BRIDGE,WHY DON,T YOU BELIEVE MEAND WITH MY EYES WIDE OPEN.NATALIE WOOD WAS BEAUTIFUL BUT I DIDN,T THINK OF HER AS A TEEN ,MORE AN ADULT.

  • Nice job. Hard to believe that Sandra Dee is gone. Annette was one of the fantasy girls that boys of that era had their first "impure thoughts" about. Not sure if Connie Francis was a "teen queen", in that her look was a tad too "mature" to appeal to teenage boys. Seriously hot babe, though. Natalie Wood was sexier than most women of her era (excluding Jayne Mansfield, Bettie Page, Marilyn Monroe and Mamie Van Doren, that is).

  • @elc1960 Let me assure you, Connie appealed to the teen boys of the '50s. She was the #1 teen singer of the time--only 19 years old when she it the top of the charts with Who's Sorry Now?

  • Absolutely magnificent video montage! Audio and video co-exist in perfect harmony! Fantastic job! So many memories ~ ~ ~

  • sad and happy to go back intime with NEIL SEDAKA,the 50,s miss thos oldies gee loved dancing to to all the songs !!as a teen like annette funicello, since i was mexican american had breast by age 11,it was so embarrassing in high school my white girlfriends were flat in the chest it didn,t bother them but by high schooly breast were larger felt like a freak.carried my books across my chest to cover my chest.only nice thing kids told me i looked like annette, well both orgins considered latins

  • Sonny-"You mean her breasts were bigger than Annetes?

Kenickie- 'Nobodys breasts are bigger than Annetes."

  • back in the day women were treated with respect. now we have rap, and there all biches, whores, and sluts

  • Best singer Connie / Best actress Natalie / Cutest Sandra / Nicest Annette JMO

  • beautiful woman

  • now let's see how they look after the lapse of 6 decades.

  • nothing today can reproduce a sound like Neil Sedaka , RIP Sandra Dee

  • Nice selection

  • Natalie Wood = probably the most gorgeous Brunette ever made. R.I.P. babe, there aint nothing today like you wuz

  • What substitutes for beauty, youth and Health? Nothing! It only comes once in a life time and these young ladies were among the pick of the crop. Watched most of them grow up on TV as I followed them through my young teenage years. Man, what an great era!

    Ron

  • @rvictor64 Weren't they great?!!

  • natalie wood!!!

  • nice music

  • Great video! I don't know of a single boy back then that wasn't in love with Annette. Sandra Dee is still cute after all these years. Natalie Wood was one of the most beautiful woman of all time. Connie Francis recorded the songs that made us think about all those girls!

  • @fairlyfast Sandra Dee was indeed cute at this time and throughout her life but you talk as though she is still alive. Sandra Dee died a year or so ago. Connie Francis is still going strong though. She just had a 50 reunion for "Where the boys are".

  • why the hell did this god forsaken world have to change??!

  • i wish girls still looked like this.im gettin tired of these slutz runnin around everywhere today.these chicks had some class with their looks.today's looks=cheap, whoreish, and tacky(i wanna shoot the person who made shiny clothing"in".yesterday's look=classy, smart, dignity.these girls fathers would of thrown them across the room if they left the house in most of today's fashoins.we that shit back.damn child protection services lol

  • @skitzstatus

i dont think they where much more unslut than todays stars

  • @rockscorp: Yeah, probably not............

  • @skitzstatus amen brother

  • C'était la bonne époque...

  • not just 50s

now i'm 14 years old but i'm think they are very beautiful :D

  • thank u

  • Great music indeed! A++++ Thank you for posting this video! A+++ Go music of the 1950's! A+++++++

  • Found them, thank you so much!

  • @lulugemini, you're welcome.

  • Got any with Tuesday Weld or Yvette Mimieaux (sp)?

  • @lulugemini, I've made a video of Tuesday, Yvette and Carol Lynley, two videos for Tuesday and one for Yvette.

  • The other girls are nice but Annette Funicello is the best one in this slide show!!

  • a beech grl-----dem Carolina Grls~!

  • Annette Funicello: I'd give it to her.

Sandra Dee: I'd rail her out.

Natalie Wood: She gives me her last name!

Connie Francis: I'd show her a good time.

    Neil Sedaka: He's a pansy.

  • Nice thks for posting

  • @jnmklo9 no problem :)

  • to think teen stars then used be talented while now we have miley cyrus

  • luv this music :)

  • the second pic of sandra dee looks like drew barrymore when drew was in E.T

  • Oh I used to have a crush on Annette Funicello in the 60s like every teen boy in the 50s and 60s

  • Loved Sandra Dee in the movie -

Imitation of Life. A must see movie!

  • @LADYSEASTAR Yes that was a Classic movie...I also loved Sandra Dee in Gidget and A Summer's Place! Does anyone cry at movies anymore?

  • Today's teen queens look like skanks =\

  • @silkysaul You said it, Skanks is to nice of a word...Look at that freak Lady GaGa, please!!!

  • @silkysaul Οr sick creatures !!!

  • @silkysaul Except for Carrie U, but she is about 25-7

  • copy

  • Nice tribute!

    MV

  • como se llama esta cancion

  • "Next door to an angel", by Neil Sedaka

  • Young Lady,I'm much obliged to ya for reminding me of the good times I grew up in !!

  • Like thousands of other guys back then, I was in love with Annette. She looks absolutely beautiful in these pictures. Also Connie Francis grew up in my hometown of Belleville, New Jersey

  • That was great! Loved it!

  • Dejlig musik

  • The first two photos of Sandra Dee almost look modern with her hair parted on the side. It seems as if every woman is wearing their hair parted on the side these past eight or ten years...

Notice how very distinct (bordering on heavy) eyebrows on women were very much in voque throughout most of the 1950s?

Connie Francis: a genuine lady. We loved her here in southern New England.

  • i grew up in the 1950's, the way you tested a boys' sexuality , was to find out if he was head over heels wild about Annette Funicello. If He wasn't, then there was something wrong with the boy.

  • Could you list their names for the youngsters under mor info?

    Thanks

  • the song goes real good with the pics. thanx*****

  • i love the music from the sixtys

  • Isn't it the fifties?

  • great music

  • Its amazing how attractive and stunning these girls/women were, lets compare it to these female singing stars of today, they think putting tatoos all over their bodies is attractive.

  • @bandstand16 Yea,...so true! These gals these days have no clue!!!! And ya know what,..? It;s sad because many of these girls today are just drop dead beautiful! They just live in a generation that is lost!!

  • @bandstand16

yeah, tattoos look to me like mud someone should wipe out

  • @bandstand16 well at least now women express them selves. back then everyone looked like clones!
