  • Even though Chicago lost this game.. that hit definitely makes up for it.

  • Lmfao. Because the Hawks won the Cup, we are obviously all bandwagoners. Totally. I've been a loyal Blackhawks fan since 2002 (I was 6, first time hockey was introduced to me).

  • No one can argue that Cleary got his ass lit up here.

  • This game really upset me. The first period was like a playoff game. Lots of hits and scrums after the whistle. Then, the 2nd and 3rd period were completely different. I honestly think the NHL stepped in after the 1st and told both clubs to just play hockey and leave the physicality out of it. Just terrible

  • Best hit of the game! i was there when it happen and went NUTS!!!

  • Real smart, one of Cleary's skates could have cut one of the Blackhawks in the face. And just for the record, who won that game?

  • @jc790 Just for the record, your nigga Cleary went flying. Thats what this video is about, not about who "won that game" but I love it when people get overly offensive and bring up 20 other pointless things that have nothing to do with Seabrook hitting Cleary because they know it was a good hit ;)

  • @jc790

And who won the game after that. And the game three of the 1957 Stanley cup playoffs. LOL. Who the fuck cares who won this game. The video has nothing to do with that game. You don't see people talking about how dirty Detroit got that game do you, you don't see people reminding detroit how they choked in the cup finals this year do you. Why cause it has nothing to do with that.

  • @Kartkid024

God I love you Blackhawk fans. So many of you douchefucks who think you know hockey now when you didn't even know the sport existed in that corrupt city of losers until the Hawks actually put together a decent team.

  • @jc790

LOL, Wow, you have only proven you know nothing about your history. Probably a bandwagon fan yourself. Don't tell me, a Detroit fan. That would make the comment of "City of losers" even funnier. You know considering Chicago is 1 of only 2 (Now that the bruins won the cup) that has championships in all 4 major sports in the last 26 years, I'm not sure how you can say that. But what ever.

  • @Kartkid024

I started following the Wings when I started playing hockey, in 1991. If thats bandwagon to you, maybe you should look up what a typical bandwagon fan is. When I started following the wings in '91, they hadn't won the cup since the 50's. Trust me, i'm from central illinois and I can say Chicago has many more bandwagon fans than Detroit. I know 10 friends of mine who started watching hockey simply because a chicago team was doing well.

  • @jc790

And I've followed the hawks(and every chicago team as I was born and raised here) as long as I remember. As far as bandwagon goes I must ask, if Chicago fans are bandwagon fans, why is it that when the team was doing bad, the Chicago Wolves (who had even worse seasons) sold out over and over again. But 1 year before the team even makes the playoffs the hawks attendence goes up and the start of the season (one no one expected much from) the hawks have the highest attendence.

  • Wouldn't you think the team would start selling out around playoff time, or atleast midseason when fans realize a good team. Not from game 1 of the preseason. As far as Detroit goes, FYI, they have probably more bandwagon fans than any other team in the NHL. Not that over half of their fans have never been near detroit, if even in the same state as detroit. The last 2 seasons they have failed to sell out playoff games right before they got eliminated in their own arena.

  • And why are they known for having the biggest cry-baby fans, because many of the fans that know nothing about the sport tend to bitch and cry about calls (that most of the time where in fact right),and for the ones that they are correct about go on to say the NHL is against them. Detroit hasn't seen hard times for a while, but when they due I promise the attendance will drop. You may not be a bandwagon fan, but you seem to lack the knowledge of the true history of why the fans in Chicago left.

  • @Kartkid024 that's because the wolves belong to the detroit red wings.

  • @Kevinjoyce1

1- What does that have to do with anything, its still in the Chicago area with a Chicago fan base

2- They belonged to the Atlanta Thrashers, and as of this year the Vancouver Canucks. The Wings AHL is in Grand Rapids.

  • Sucker xD

  • I freakin love this <3

  • detroit sucks!

  • @dobbyboy91 So if Detroit sucks, and they beat the Hawks, whats does that make them then? Horrible?

  • this guy is a tank

  • lmfao in an interview kaner said this was his favorite moment of the game cuz a couple games before this cleary did a bad hit on him and he sprained his ankle so kane felt like this was seabs getting payback. loll gotta love the hawks, theyve got each others backs haha.

  • best hit ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @hockeyboy1910 Go watch kronwall end havlat's day if you want to see the best hit ever

  • @KdotPOWERS

LOL, I liked the Laraque on Kronwall better. It put Kronwall out for how many games. Atleast Havlat came back the next game.

  • They shoulda stomped Cleary....

  • @TheWitchOvAgnesi fuck you

  • i used to go to Seabrooks WHL games all the time. hes the best!

  • gooooooood god!!!

  • ahahahahah I remember when Dan Cleary was an Oiler

That was an amazing shot from Seabrook

  • fuck yeah, dont fuck with blackhawk nation!

  • Are people really arguing on this video? Calm the fuck down

  • Seabs is a beast.

  • Seabrook is the man after that hit. I told him that when I met him. Fuck you Cleary for taking out Kane.

  • This game sucked.

  • haha i love how he just skates away after it like its nbd

  • the only thing that sucks more than this song and papa roach, are the wings

should have had chelsea dagger in the background. much better song

  • This is beautiful. I remember being there with my dad and us just being in awe. Seabrook is a tank.

  • who cares o hope he slit a neack in on the bench :)

  • i wonder how much it hurts to get checked into the bench lol

  • yeah seabsy! :)

  • great hit.

faggish music and video. just show the fuckin hit. don't put it to cocksuck emo music.

  • @Msmusicluver19 last resort by papa roach

  • Last Resort by papa roach

  • i bet seabrook watches this before every game to get pumped up. lol.

  • hey guys that is my cuz rocking that dude thats insane i never seen that hit

  • i almost pissed myself when i saw this live. seabs is a wrecking ball. gotta love it.

  • H-O-L-Y SHIT

    Thats awesome

  • yea seabs!!

  • I played with Cleary in junior. He was a cocky fuck. If it wasn't for his big over inflated ego he could've became the player that he was expected to be. Nice seeing that hit :)

  • holy shit no way. you dont hear that everyday

  • cleary was like a deer in headlights

  • seabrook and keith on the blue line is sick.

  • o ya best in the game

  • Brent Seabrook.....I love you

  • YES....exactly!!!

  • That hit means: Don't fuck with #88 bitch!

  • Not gonna lie, that was a nice hit.

Kronwall on Havlat was better though.

  • Love how this gets negged. Chicago fans pissed because Havlat got knocked the fuck out.

  • @ROCKETS2965 Chicago just taught Detroit how to make a hard clean hit.

  • @ROCKETS2965 eh. I'd take this hit over the Havlat one because it was a legal hit that didn't even get a penalty let alone getting thrown out. The way a hit should be hard and CLEAN.

  • Hahaha. I suppose if you're one of the pussies who can't admit that the Havlat hit was 100% clean...

  • @ROCKETS2965 it wasn't clean. It was a 5 min interference and a game misconduct...it was an illegal hit that nearly killed a guy. How is that clean?

  • 1. You act as if just because it was called means it HAD to be a legit penalty.

    2. No, it wasn't a legit penalty. The NHL rulebook clearly states that if a player could have obtained possession of the puck they're fair game, which was obviously the case in that hit. It was clean, get over it.

    3. It nearly killed a guy? It didn't even concuss him and he was back playing in the same series.

  • @ROCKETS2965 He clearly was still waiting to recieve the puck. Ha see you proved your self wrong with the rule. He was still making an attempt to recieve the puck it just hadn't gotten to his stick yet. Besides if I'm right that rule you state is for icing and delayed penalties and offsides calls...not interference calls. But it still doesn't apply to that hit anyway because he was not able to obtain possesion quite yet. obvious correct call. This hit is clean kronwall was not

  • Open your eyes Helen Keller, Havlat had the puck between his feet for a good two seconds and had plenty of chances to play it. And no, you're not right, because the rulebook says if the player could've possessed it it's not an interference. Take off the rose colored glasses and get your shit straight, even some Chicago fans are willing to admit that hit was completely clean. Quit your bitching.

  • @ROCKETS2965 But it wasn't clean. The refs got the call right by far. No rose colored glasses I just know the rules. For starters the possession rule applies to delayed offsides, icing, and delayed penalties...not Interference calls. But it doesn't matter anyway because he was waiting for the puck to come to his stick to play it it's a simple and routine and Kronwall hit him to early. After the fact he even says he may have hit him to early simple as that. Your wrong the hit was a penalty

  • Good God it's like talking to a wall. I'm not gonna keep repeating myself, it was clean, go cry about it if you want.

  • @ROCKETS2965 your the one crying about it...I'm quite fine with the fact the refs called the illegal hit. Maybe Kronwall should take some lessons from Seabrook once in while he might actually make a clean hit that's hard. Explain to me where in the rule book it says Kronwall's hit was clean. I can show you word for word why it was called a penalty. Typical wings fan who would try to compare something so illegal to such a clean hit as this and try to say it was better...that's just retarded

  • As I said, I'm not gonna keep repeating myself, if you want to know exactly why you're wrong you can read my previous replies. It wasn't interference, look it up, and get over it.

  • @ROCKETS2965 I did look it up it's text book interference. Havlat had not yet touched the puck that is proven. Interference occurs when Kronwall makes a hit on him preventing him from getting to the puck. 56.1 ...making contact with the non-puck carrier is not permitted and will be penalized as interference. And if an injury occurs on a interference call that is a 5 min major is an automatic game misconduct....no argument at all on the call should be an issue

  • Again, if the player could've obtained possession it's not interference. There goes your argument.

By the way, perhaps you'd like to explain why none of the refs had an arm up when the hit occurred.

  • @ROCKETS2965 He couldn't obtain it cause it hadn't come to him yet. Show me the rule with number saying if he could've obtained possession it's not interference. It doesn't apply anyway but I'd like to see you find it.

Rule 33.4 The Linesman must report upon completion of play, any circumstances pertaining to:

    (i) Major penalties Rule 20

(iv) Game Misconduct penalties Rule 23

Now send me proof to backup your claim.

  • It hadn't come to him yet? What the fuck are you looking at? He initially swooped into the boards to pick up the puck, he missed, and had it under his feet for a good 2-3 seconds before Kronwall hit him, that's PLENTY of time. You're not gonna win the argument, so if you don't have the balls to admit you're wrong just stop replying.

  • @ROCKETS2965 no he was waiting for it to get to his stick through his legs. It was hardly 2-3 seconds. He needs to receive it while moving forward so he can continue forward motion. But hey until you show me a rule stating this claim of yours whether or not he could have got the puck holds no effect anyway. From what it looks like your not winning this argument

  • @ROCKETS2965 So I realize it's only been 2 days and you may be busy but your usually quick to answer and your profile has been online since this comment...so I must ask were you able to find that rule or are you just admitting defeat?

  • It's not my job to find it, it's yours LOL. I already pointed out that the NHL rulebook states that if a player COULD obtain possession they're fair game. You couldn't come up with a valid point to deny that, nor could you come up with a valid reason for why NONE of the refs had an arm up during or after the incident. You lose. Go away.

  • @ROCKETS2965 are you a moron? I specifically quoted the rule word for word why the refs called it after play was dead and why the call was made. You how ever make this claim that "if a player COULD obtain possession they're fair game" but you have failed to support this claim. I'm thinking you lose.

  • @ROCKETS2965 so what no rule? I mean come on man. Seriously One rule reference. Show me a rule number stating your claim so I can check the source and I'll consider your view. Just one. I've given you the reason he got interference, why he got ejected, and why the call wasn't made till after the play. But all you have is your proclaimed rule which you have failed to reference. It's not that hard just google "NHL Rule book" and it gives you all the rules just find it and copy and paste

  • seabrook is a beast!

  • I can't believe they called too many men on that...he technically WAS on the bench(:

  • but when he got off the bench there was 6 men

  • i want his life

  • the skates almost hit Versteeg and Eager

  • i was at the game and my God i will never forget the roar that filled the Chicago air it was a bone chilling hit and the crowd's reaction raised the hairs on the back of my neck a truly amazing hit clean and best part is no1 was hurt GO HAWKS

  • @furyonenine

No doubt- the hawks were large and in charge to start out that day, and the place was just insane! I will never understand how we wound up losing this game.

This was definitely- the hit of the game, and hit of the year last year IMHO.

  • good clean hit and go blackhawks

  • REDEMPTION, fuck off marine.. if the tables were turned you'd be going OHH SHIIIT YAY AY YAY to, so step off fagget, hows the cu... oh wait.... its in PITTSBURGH

  • @MarineCpl0311 "mediocre hit?" He got nailed and unlike the Havlat hit you speak of Seabrook did it clean and legally.

  • @Kartracer6 He didn't get "nailed", he was pushed over the boards. The boards are like that annoying kid that runs up behind someone and gets on all fours so he can trip them when they get slightly pushed.

  • @MarineCpl0311 do you know how much strength it takes to pick a guy up over the boards like that? I'd support your comment if he just went slightly in but Seabrook full out lays the guy in the bench I mean imagine if there would have been a full board there. The guy would have been creamed even more. If anything the bench being there made the impact less then what it could have been....and it was still down right intense.

  • @Kartracer6 If the guy was standing still and you just came over and picked him up and dumped him over the boards, yea that takes some strength. To be honest, a vast majority of players will jump a little to absorb the impact, so combine that with seabrook's momentum and it doesn't take all that much to dump someone into the bench. If you didn't notice afterwards, he skated off all find and dandy. Being dumped into a bench is embarrassing, but its not at hit thats going to clean someones clock.

  • @MarineCpl0311 he was standing still...making a pass. Like a said I think this hit would have been more intense had the bench not been there to cushin his impact. Yet it still was intense. Got momentum going and it got a power play for the hawks.

  • this is probably the most amazing video ive ever seen.

  • that what u get when u fuck with kane u get your day fucked up

  • Comment removed

  • Glad those skates didn't carve anyone's faces and/or necks.

  • thanks god

  • Let's go Blackhawks!!!!

  • seabrook is the fucken man in the playoffs

  • I love the Wings, but i lol'd so hard when i saw that hit. Great hit, great game.

  • This hit meant don't hit Kaner you piece of Detoilet shit.

  • HELL YEAH!

  • Go Hawks!!!

  • Best hit ever ! . Detroit sucks ! .

  • Detroit wing will be in wheelchairs soon!

    Go HAWKS

  • wasn't really that big, it was just the way cleary had his back to the boards that made him flip over. nothing special

  • love his Ronald McDonald socks

  • fuck you man. hawks for life bitch!!!!!

  • cleary is a total fag

  • i wish the hawks won the game but oh well.

and i like how they got too many men on the ice, that was hilarious. best way to draw a penalty i've ever seen. lol

  • owned bitch

  • good for cleary fuck hes a fag

  • nice hit. i love cleary hes a good guy but saying revenge served just because he leveled kaner when kane had his head down is kind of dumb its hockey. if you put your head down youre going to get fucked up. ask eric lindros about that. he did it against the best open ice hitter and his career was never the same after.

  • name of song ?`

  • last resort - papa roach

  • Revenge served.

  • lmao i love seabs

  • I agree with you there. I love seabs!!

  • so are u from here you just a blackhawks fan?

  • I am just a blackhawks fan, but i love the whole team not just one guy cuz i think hes hott. the whole team is amazing.

  • nahh thats cool

  • this was the best hit ive ever seen. lol.

  • yeah seriously i was waiting for cleary to get his and that was perfect

  • it was perfect then the call for the too many men on the ice that was classic and perfect. lol i feel bad for the teammates that cleary flipped on. lol.

  • haha yeah he hit ben eager in the head but you gotta love the guys that are pointing at him once he gets back on the ice cause he was called for the too many men

  • omg i know! i thought that was perfect, absolutely hilarious.

  • That was a great hit! the best part was that Cleary got a penalty for "too many men" when he left the CHI bench

  • that was weet i was ther to c it

  • FUCKIN TITS BADASS HIT

  • keith should have made the all star team...i mean shit...+24....wow....fuck the coyotes!! the suck balls... Matt Walker will K/O their captin again!!!

  • im a diehard Wings fan, and i mean diehard...when i saw this hit i was out of my seat in awe...i dont care who you root for, this is a BEAUTIFUL example of hockey at it's finest.

  • Thank you, finally someone that sees it the way I do, although I'm not a wings fan.

  • i agree. Best hit ive seen in a long time. That was amazing and I thank you for posting it. I am a huge Hawks fan :)

  • JoeGar I'm not gonna sit here and list detroits roster, but before you claim they have no young talent, you REALLY need to take a closer look at the team and who they're developing in the minors, becuase you clearly have no idea.

  • I've taken a good look at your squad and seen how old they are. And you're not gonna name any young talent from the roster because there's no one worth mentioning. But you can't deny you have one of the oldest teams in the league, and the hawks are the youngest, yet still one of the best teams. So if you want to believe Detroit's gonna stay that good forever, go right ahead. Just know that the Hawks are right on your tails and our young talent outnumbers your's by a mile.

  • No one worth mentioning? Hudler and Filpulla are both going into their prime, and guys like Helm, Meech, Leino and Ericsson are working their way up. Just because we don't have room to give the young guys 82 games a year doesn't mean they arent any good.

  • Only took you 2 months to name a bunch of scrubs. Detroit sucks no matter what you say. Go Hawks!

  • Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner on that one chief..... pretty sure they dont suck though.

  • that was fuckin funny

  • whats the song called?

  • last resort- papa roach

  • I hate the people who are fans of Detroit because they won the cup.

  • I have been a fan since Sep 9, 1968... my birthday. for most of my life I suffered watching them have one awful season after another. The darkness with Harkness was not alot of fun... most of the `80's sucked (except for watching Stevie Y).. I have earned my right to boast about the Wings.. there's no bandwagon parked at this house !!

  • How do you know I'm talking about you?

  • the only reason kane got hurt was because cleary's dumbass elbowed him in the face and if you watch kane's ankle on the other hit it was bent all weird

  • Detroit Sucks! Nuff said.

  • Yup, thats why we won the game and won the cup last year!!!!

  • And? Quit living in the past. The Blackhawks are the future of hockey. Not Detroit's oldass squad, half of which will be retired within a few years and the rest who'll be gone once their contracts are up cuz they realize the only place for Detroit to go is down. Let's see how many of you fairweather Detroit fans show up at Joe Louis when the Red Wings look like the Lions.

  • nice try... count the number of players remaining or still playing from the `97 or 98 Cup winning teams or for that matter even the `02 squad... more than half are gone or retired. Didn;t make a difference did it ?? The fact of the matter is, Detroit has great scouts, great coaching and an atmosphere that makes players want to stay. And many stay living in the Detroit area even after hockey when they can clearly afford to live anywhere on earth.

  • Bullshit. They stay cuz Lidstrom is still there. Once he's gone, Detroit's going down with him. All of your stars are 30 or older besides Zetterberg. Meanwhile the Hawks have Kane, Toews, Keith, Seabrook, Versteeg, Sharp, all 27 or younger. So yeah, keep thinking your old ass squad is gonna be on top forever. Here come the Hawks, just ask Scotty Bowman.

  • ha! XD ur funny the haws suck and always will!!!!!

  • Yes, the haws suck almost as much as Red Wings fans do at spelling.

  • fuck you cleary

  • detroit sucks.... they know Chicagos coming too

  • RED WINGS CAN SUCK MY COCK

  • detroit sucks

  • who cares if Cleary didn't feel it? he was sending a message that they didn't forget about his hit on Kane. I love how all you dumb shit Red Wings fans are pointing out that the boards weren't as high as a normal rinks like that makes any difference. Just accept the fact that Seabrook fucked Cleary up.

  • haha cleary wasn't injured, just a tiny bit embarrassed, Cleary and Lilja f'ed kane up pretty bad though

  • great hit by seabs. best part was when they got called for too many men lol

  • the best part was when at the end of the 3rd and I looked at the scoreboard and saw that the Wings beat the Hawks... again.. and again.... and again.....

  • wow, you're cool.

  • I am well aware of that, thanks anyways.

  • yeah man our top scorers are 19 and 20 we suck so bad and have no future. in two years no one will remember the red wings beating the hawks 4 times in the first few months '08-'09 season

  • buy they will remember the 11 (possibly more forthcoming) Stanley Cup banners hanging in the Red Wings rafters..

  • yeah and they'll also remember the douche bags that are on the team and how stuck up all their stupid fans are. so those banners dont mean crap when everyone hates you. yeah detroit is a good team, but they're also filled with vets and they're the oldest team in the league. so wow, you're cool.

  • winning teams are always hated... But when you watch the Wings play around the league, the visiting arena is always FILLED with Wings fans... are they really hated ?? what makes the Wings players douchebags ?? they put the skates on one foot at a time like any other player... there are no goons on the squad... no enforcers, fuck, there's barely any fighters.. they are WINNERS with a purpose.
