I am joining the USMC do to family tradition, but I have the upmost respect for every military branch personnel no matter who you are because we have our own personal preference of what something means to us. We all should be proud for every soldier in the United States.
Bravo Company 795th MP BN, 14th MP BDE at Fort Lost in the Woods, Misery is the above shown...If you have or are planning to cycle through there, embrace it! You're gonna miss those days just like the rest of us that spent 5 months of OSUT there. Comanches! (Charlie 795 20-10)
Training myself up so i can join...hopefully this year. Either national guard or air national guard, if i get into good enough shape :D. Before people respond, i know basic training is what gets you in shape, but i know for me, ill need to be somewhat acclimated to exercise before i join lol.
Btw, definitely hats off to those in the military now...doing what most cant or wont do.
Went to Benning back when they could intentionally roll you through fire ant mounds on "Sand Hill" and still put their hands on you... that's when training was truely fun!!!
@girlytomahawker You're a 74Delta?? I am too. Basic will most likely be pretty stressful, depending on what company you end up with, especially the first few weeks. But AIT is gonna make you wanna shoot yourself in the head. You're shipping out in the summer so you won't get the worst of Fort Leonard Wood, as far as weather is concerned.
LETS GO RI RI. DADDYS BACK!!! Oh man, my first introduction to the army. DS Attardi screaming, 1sgt speech, DS May speech...Over 1 year ago, ill never forget.
I went Fort benning, and this is like disney land. Our red phase for 11B OSUT was pure hell. Imagine being woken up at 1am with the firealarm, forced to get out of the barracks in the middle of 26 degree weather with only shorts, slippers, and a small grey shirt. Do this everyday for 3 weeks. That's what you get at 1-50
I was there!!! This is footage of my day 1! 2nd Platoon Bravo Company 795 Military Police Battalion (One Station Unit Training cycle 17-11). HOOAH. PVT LOPEZ
more like "please pick up your bag if its not too heavy, and make your way up the hill, take a break if you need one, and I'm sorry if I was talking to loud"
Hahaha Oh how I miss B-795! It was funny seeing my old Drill Sergeants having to limit what they were able to say because of the cameras. Funny to hear those voices again, I heard the voices and could name them without looking at the video.
The most yelling that I heard during basic was during our shark attack, after that we were not yelled at unless we put someones life at risk on a range which never happened...
This looks like Jackson. I went to Fort Benning (Home of the infantry!), and the drill sergeants there were not limited to what they could say to us because there were no females at Benning. Lots of yelling, cussing and screaming way past day 1. All to make us better soldiers and above all else infantryman! Grad: Sept 2nd, 2011 C Co. 1-19! Hooah!
@IWorshipMCR I'm a female who went to Jackson and they still said whatever "needed" to be said. It has nothing to do with gender, so please don't make stuff up.
@IWorshipMCR naw this isn't fort jackson, this is fort lost in the woods! there's women there because i believe most of them are there for osut MP training
@IWorshipMCR This wasn't Jackson, I went there and we didn't have any brick buildings in our MOUT city. This has to be Ft. Leonard Wood. Also, the patch the Drill Sergeants were wearing isn't a patch I ever saw on Jackson. I think I saw green and yellow trim of a chemical battalion on one of the buildings, too.
@IWorshipMCR typical benning reply. look bro, i was Bravo 795 and they definitely toned it down for the cameras. Just saying. So consider that before comparing your benning experience with fort leonard wood.
Sand Hill at Ft. Benning is much worse. It's the Home of the Infantry and all DSs have served at least two deployments as Infantry Just about all of them are crazy and have PTSD from combat. Damn those were some fun times.
that female Drill Sergeant right there, at :44 is trying too hard to yell, it doesnt sound natural,
most Drill Sergeants i've ever heard yell it just sounds normal

CaptainAmerica322 2 weeks ago 2
do the men and women have basic training at different places??
xeragonx1 3 weeks ago
@xeragonx1 Yes and no.
Fort Benning - Male Only
Fort Jackson - Male & Female
Fort Knox - (Barely There, Possibly Gone Now) Male Only
Fort Leonard-Wood - Male & Female
And Fort Sill - Male & Female (Was Only A Male BCT Until Summer Of 2010)
They all train together as one.
I think it was when females were first allowed to join the military they went to Fort Mc. pherson but it didn't last too long.
