  • Love Angus cattle. I love our Limmies though! :D

  • How come when I wash my showcattle I end up soaked?? and that guy is perfectly dry. Well, it cools both the cows and me off in the summer I guess!

  • Thank you for this video! My dad's herd is of black angus. Most of those cows though are super gentle they are not all purebred angus though (most are) fathers were but their mothers were Gelbvieh (from when he was obsessed with the breed). Herefords are gentle as well and my bull is a purebred hereford and so the half hereford quarter angus quarter gelbvieh calves I wouldn't trade anything in the world for them :) And they are great showcalves for county fair level, not that fancy but still :D

  • wow they are very beautiful! :) I wish I could work with animals. I love them so much :) ty for the video :)

  • simmys all the way haha :) simmy are so much better!

  • We wash our calves once a day and rince them once a day in the summer in the winter we wash them once a week and rinse them every other day.

  • @bikerbro4life really hereford are nown for their calmness angus are nown for the opposite

  • @bikerbro4life angus r cool tho hereford are nown fer their gentleness we hav angus and hereford but mainley hereford

  • @bikerbro4life They can be calm if you work with the angus but the HERFORD IS MORE TAME

  • @cowboytbterry its all just a matter of how much work in effort you put into it actually

  • @bikerbro4life I have to disagree. Go the Murray Grey!! My 2 friends and I own like 17!

  • @EpicArabianPony welll my dad and i own over 1,000. and i vote angus is the tamest breed of cattle out there!

  • @emokookie97 Your welcome. Be sure to share them with your friends.

  • i think sullivans show supply sponcored this LOL

  • Angus cattle are naturally polled, so they do not need to be dehorned. Other breeds that have horned cattle make choose to dehorn them at birth.

  • Are all bull dehorned when put into shows?

  • @Mr14NYM15 the animals they are demonstrating with are steers..... not bulls:)

  • @rodeogirl13245 @Mr14NYM15 Actually these animals are heifers, but the tips given can be applied to heifers, steers and bulls.

  • How long would it take to halter break an Angus?

Also what spray would be mostly used in a ring when showing an Cattle?

  • @Mr14NYM15 @Mr14NYM15 i show alot of angus cattle, takes 3 days to get them to lead or understand the basic concepts that they cant fight the haulter, add a week or 2 to fine tune the rest of it, add a week for the show stick sometimes 2 weeks depends on the animal, you use final bloom show bloom adhesive moose there are many types you can use, look at the products that i use and that are also used in this clip they are from sullivansupply

  • You can bath them in the winter, but typically it is done indoors. The animals are then dried before they return outdoors.

  • i live on a angus cattle farm in ireland and thats my dads job he does it completly diffrent

  • At our ranch we bath them year round. We bath in one of the barns in the winter.

  • Be sure to watch Part 2 of Fitting and Showing Angus Cattle. These tips are great no matter what breed you have.

  • can you bath them in the winter?

  • Yes, typically most people will do it in a barn. We then use a blower, which is like a big blower dryer, to get all of there hair dry.

  • @ADeadlyPancake not unless you live in warm climate

  • @ADeadlyPancake Depends on what the temperatures are. If it stays below freezing a lot, unless you got a major show to go to, I wouldn't worry about it.
