Guess what, I wasnt reading my Bible, instead I was watching Ray Comfort. Man can change, Man is fallable. This is a good channel, a good program. But God's word, by far, is more important.

Here is what I meant to say:

We can sin against God by not only doing things we should not do - but also God may be working in our hearts to do things for his glory and refusing to do his will.

Example: Helping someone in need that God has put in our heart and refusing to do so.

I hope that clarifies.

According to this series, everybody would be a false convert. Everybody has backed slide at one time or another.

All of us have purposely sinned(Even Ray and Kirk) - that is why the blood of Jesus is so awesome. The only day we will be perfect is when we are in our glorified bodies.

Ah, but look at 1 John 3:8: "Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning."

Read that first part again: "Whoever **makes a practice of sin**." It's the continual unrepentant sins which are the fruits of an unregenerate life. Remember, Jesus said it best: "You will recognize them by their fruits." (Matthew 7:20)

Hello Chris,

Sin is destructive and we need to remove it from our lives.

My problem with the video is that if you claim to be a Christian and are not overcoming all sin - than you are a false convert.

Sin is not only things you should not do but things you should do.

As Christians, we live in this flesh and will sin. If any true Christian says there not - they are a liar.

Thank God for Christ Jesus for is he why I overcome.

We have all been threw that before I just started reading my bible more now a days and I will not let my self go a day without it. when I did not read I was depressed weak had lots of demonic attacks fear anxiety because I started reading the word more I started to grow. No my life is not perfect but it has gotten alot more peacefull

that is a good testimony. i know a thing or two about spiritual battle. i have dreams where i face demons, like a cheesy movie or something. but demon powers are very real, and usually attack those that step out of line of the rest of the world and follow after christ. i will be battling demons until i enter victoriuosly into gods kingdom. this is what we are called to do: to suffer righteously, bear his cross and his marks.

Just a thought, wouldn't Peter denying Jesus 3 times according to what the gospels say justify backsliding...or was that falling into sin for Peter.
