Why is it so much to play in a dci group? it's like 3000 dollars. Does it pay for your drums and you keep them or what?

@mancrush3211 $3000 is on the larger scale compared to some corps that only charge $2000, but imagine trying to fill four charter buses and two large semi trucks with gasoline for a tour of this scale, plus paying for housing sites, instruments, and the tuition of all the instructors. It's basically 3 months of room and board, so when you compare that $2000 to the $1500 it would cost to be living in an apartment for that length of time, it's really not that bad.

@mancrush3211 it pays for stuff like food,gas,equipment rentals and everything you basically need for the summer. when you break it all down into what your actually getting out of it, its not that bad of a deal. just coming up with the money beforehand sucks. and about keeping instruments, thats a no. some drumcorps will let their members buy their instrument separately after the season but as far as getting to keep your drum/horn, thats a no.

they were really when i was there, it was pretty clean all around that time, Blue Devils over there were alright, Not to far from Cavaliers, The Bluecoats were playing some clean beats, it was a pretty good start for the Big 3
