@dennist3hmenace ask Rand if he will work for minimum wage if he win the senate seat. he would say not me just but everyone else LOL .if everyone was working for less how would that help the economy, put all your expenses on a credit card hoping for some trickles down like we had under G.W.Bush we see how that worked
@kilowat46 Because the economy is fake that's why. You are paying bloated prices with your wages. If everything comes down, including prices what difference does it make. I wouldn't work for minimum wage either and I'm not wealthy. Most people wouldn't.
Let them eat cake!!! This shows how out of touch he is with the real world. Instead of CEO's getting hundreds of millions of dollars annually, why can't the working man make a decent wage?
Rand Paul speaks Truth!! People need to get their head out of their *%% and realize there is no easy way out of this. There are no good options. Our industry has been exported because of low wages in other countries...the only way to get any of that industry back is to compete by lowering wages here.
The world has changed...not everyone has been informed.
@boat6868 so.. we should give up our wages while rich f*ckers like little lord rand paul and his questionable education continue to sit around the pool and collect dividend checks?
no, rand paul speaks nonsense through his tuckus.
@KataVideo The truth is we have been living beyond our means for years. Unfortunately there is no easy way out. As has been said many times...those who live beyond their means are destined to live below their means. The national debt, the ponzi schemes of social security and medicare are all example of living beyond our means. We can try to deal with it proactively and in a controlled manner or just keep on the throttle until the laws of economics take over and cause a currency collapse.
@KataVideo You are letting your rage over class warfare blind you to the truth. It is not the rich who have screwed up the real estate market by buying homes they couldn't afford. It is not the rich who are living paycheck to paycheck and can not make their house payments when they lose their jobs. It is the average american who has been living slightly over the edge and beyond their means for years and didn't provide a safety net for themselves in order to keep up with their neighbors.
@KataVideo If Rand Paul has a comfortable life it is in large part because of his talent and many life decisions he has made rather than any silver spoon he was given. Don't let the class warefare that has been fed to us by the Dems blind you to the fact that there is no free lunch and free spending and big promises on the part of both parties are what has brought us to this point.
@boat6868 you'd have to be retarded to believe that. conservatarded, in fact.
no one makes it on their own. he didn't even earn a BA and got accepted into med school? LOL!!! yeah, it was because of his life choices, and not daddy's political/bigmoney connections.
anyone with less than $10 million in liquid assets who supports the libertardians is a chump.
"class warfare" is the upper class's war on America.
the wealth of the nation has been transferred to the upper class from the middle.
@KataVideo How much more of an average guy could Rand Paul be? You want to see a rich fu&(*& go look at his opponent Mr. Silver Spoon Jack Conway. Not everyone is a multimillionaire but Jack Conway is. Not everyone has a Kentukcy Derby horse, but Jack Conway does...a real everyman. Sure Conway says he is for the common man but his policies would only keep us on the Road to Serfdom. Government is best which governs least.
@boat6868 little lord fauntle-rand, son of a doctor and u.s. congressman, never worked a day in his life, accepted into medical school without the qualifications that everyone needed, existing as an unaccredited eye doctor.
wages don't need to fall, wealthy parasites need to stop stealing.
jack conway comes from a privileged background, too.
but he earned his degree and worked his way up in politics, he doesn't wish to start at the top like little lord rand.
@KataVideo Please stop with the Rand Paul college business. It was put out there by the liberal media who have nothing else on a very good man. Rand Paul is an M.D., period...licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to do whatever a licensed M.D. can do...people can decide whether they want to become a patient of his or not.
@KataVideo Discounting Rand's medical degree because he doesn't have Bachelors Degree is like discounting the success of Microsoft and Bill Gates. You could say Bill Gates doesn't have a bachelors degree...how could he possibly have run a successful company that has created many many millionaires? It doesn't matter how...the proof is in the pudding...Bill Gates did it. What is a prerequisite for some people is not a prerequisite for everyone. Some people just have talent.
@boat6868 given that windows sucks, I'd say you agree with me.
what is it with you and cliches, anyway. proof is in the pudding? LOL go read some more bumper stickers. I wouldn't trust aqua-budda boy with my eyes, my money or with the national responsibilities of a United States Senator.
That's pretty fucking easy for someone (Paul) who has never wanted for anything to tell someone to go take a job even if it isn't enough to pay the bills.
Although he claims to be part of the Tea Party this video proves that he is nothing but a misinformed conservative Republican.
@kaysandesses teabaggers ought to just cut to the chase and hand over their social security checks and retirements to little lord rand paul. if they want to be suckers, then let them be suckers, but leave the rest of us out of it, please.
@kaysandesses "That's pretty fucking easy" Ummm no it's not. Exactly how would he benefit from those comments that would make it easy? It's the truth. It's how it works. Yes your Mother lied to you. I suggest you take an econ 101 course and learn a bit about bubbles. If you think Rand wants you to earn less you are retarded. Hate the message not the messenger.
You'd think people would be refreshed to have some honesty for once. Guess not.
@BrockTee "econ 101".. the brainwashing religion that rationalizes and justifies the rich sitting around the pool and collecting dividend (corporate welfare) checks while working Americans who actually produce thing are screwed.
Americans who actually produce things are not with you. Now Americans who think they should be over paid to produce things, they are with you but their selfish sense of entitlement is what is bringing this country to its knee's, One must realize that when some one will do your job for 50 cents it is no longer feasible for you to get paid $20 doing the same thing.
@kaysandesses I supported Ron Paul for years and was disappointed to see the neo-cons grab the reigns with the Teaparty Express. Now, instead of preaching to repeal the Patriot Act or return middle-class jobs to America, he becomes-- what?
When does it make more sense to go on Public Aid and Medicade (for free on US Taxpaer) than to work your fingers to the bone wi/o benefits for some greedy s.o.b.?
Maybe cut the pay for the top 1% -- or maybe remove the ceiling for Soc Security contribution
@greatbroad I was never a supporter of Ron Paul but I did have respect for the way he ran his campaign and many of the ideals which he touted.
It is unfortunate that the wingnuts hijacked the Tea Party name, but the one good thing that might come out of this is the withering away of the remaining political clout in the far right. The 'baggers will eventually split the GOP as the moderates distance themselves from the far right. Or we can hope...
@kaysandesses I hope you are right. This morning I was hearing the nonsense spouted by Newt Gingrich about Obama and that house of worship near ground-zero NYC. Sure would like a new party which supports the middle classes instead of the super rich corporate hogs.
@greatbroad I remember in the not so distance past when we had Republicans in Congress who were Statesmen and willing reach across the aisle to achieve compromise with the Democrats. Sadly, that era ended with the "election" of GWB, and went away completely with the election of President Obama. Wouldn't it be ironic if those screaming the loudest about a 3rd party (the 'baggers) are the cause of the creation of a new party that doesn't share their "message"?
@kaysandesses Maybe you are remembering President Clinton who was what I would call a "blue dog democrat" and passed a republican agenda. Passing NAFTA and changes in social programs they wanted.
To me, it either "works" or it "doesn't work" and this is how I rate it; not whether it is a republican idea or democrat idea. The corporations who are too big to fail are who is running things with their big $. We don't stand a chance in hell the way things are right now.
@greatbroad I agree with "work" or "doesn't work". My point is there is almost no one left in the GOP who is interested in governing, instead they do nothing but obstruct in the hopes they will regain the majority in Congress. There were many Republicans in leadership positions who were Statesmen. Bob Dole is an example, and John McCain used to be an example. Oh and btw, Bush Sr. signed the NAFTA treaty, not Bill Clinton.
@kaysandesses Oh, really. I didn't know it was #41 who signed that damned NAFTA thing. I do remember it was during the Clinton Administration that we were able to afford to take our kids out on family vacations for a change, and live. We sold our business (thought the kids would inherit) in 2007. Nobody can get a loan to purchase our warehouse and all our $ is tied up there and property taxes on it are killer. I used to like John McCain, but I think he has gone around the bend.
@greatbroad Bush Sr. signed the treaty but it was implemented until after Clinton was inaugurated. We are small business owners as well and also enjoyed much prosperity during Clinton's time in office. Ever since then it's up and down, up and down, rinse and repeat as Bush Jr. spent all his damned time clearing brush and pissing off the rest of the planet, instead of paying attention to what was happening with the economy.
@kaysandesses Yeah, Bush spent a lot of time away "so the mice can play" is the way I see it. I write letters to the editor and sometimes I have to beat them with a stick (end my subscription) before they print my "stinkers." I have one printed today (Wednesday 8/18/2010) "Battle all but lost for middle-class Americans" in the Kane County Chronicle, KCCHRONICLE(dot)COM. Don't know if the paper lets anyone read for free, nowadays.

Abolish the minimum wage laws. They accomplish only one thing: making it illegal to work.
Once again, the gov't IS the problem.
