  • JUST BEAST!!!!!

  • Good People, that is Eddie with the dark floopy hat!!!!

  • @GE785 Eddie's the one with the white hat dude

  • @Bryksawguitar I hate to say this to you but as a former member of this group; that is eddie hazel playing the lead riff solo and Gary "star child" shider playing rhythm guitar beside him..also to all Mike hampton was light skinned brother,Eddie was dark skinned and Gary Shider is dark skinned as well....

  • @MrKidfunkadelic I stand to correct myself on this video;Mike hampton is the guy in the dark gangster brim playing the lead solo riff; Eddie tended to let mike shine more in the late 70's on stage but he is on stage just not grabbing the solo..

  • I found this video on the revamped Eddie Hazel myspace page, but I don't know why its there. Eddie's not even in this video

  • They be KILLIN" this jam.......

  • Gary Shider was a damn good player back in Funkadelic early days. Mike Hampton is an awesome guitarist, Eddie Hazel was a great guitarist, but Dwayne "Blackbyrd" McKnight shows in this clip, that he's not to be funked with either. He's been out playing Mike for the last 20 years. I prefer not to rank them, they both have their own groove. P-Funk guitarist should go down in history as the baddest collection ever.

  • Take a closer look my brother. That's the immortal Eddie Hazel. But you're definitely right about Blackbyrd outplaying Mike.

  • This Mike Hampton on Lead..

not the shortness..Ed was a lot taller.

  • @Dafunky1 Hey I DEF agree with you outside of Jimmy Hendrix and Ernie Isley and Drac Hicks from "Slave" those guys are good guitarists that back then NO ONE outside the P-funk fans had ever heard of them.they all play in their own musical style.I must let you know one thing though;"blackbird" did not get into the group until the late 80's until present day..the group was reformed as the P-funk all-stars..

  • @MrKidfunkadelic JIMI HENDRIX,(JIMI)

  • They both can jam. I could care less "Kidd Funkadelic" played "Maggot Brain's" solo note for note. They both are funky.

  • I Love Eddie Hazel but Hampton's got a style of his own. Check out Butt to Butt from Tales of Kidd Funkadelic and you'll see what I'm talking about.

  • if you're right ovneb, then Michael is indeed the best uitar player from the P-Funk stable, cos' playing note for note a solo of this magnitude, intensity and speed is just something I can't imagine being duplicated...

    Kidd Funkadelic rocks... period!

  • That's the thing, Eddie wasn't about speed, sure he could shred and rip like no one else, but the thing that Michael Hampton lacks is the feeling that Eddie had. Eddie made the guitar cry

  • i hate michael hampton. he plays eddie's solos note for note. face it, the guy can shred, but cant improvise and isnt creative at all.

  • Holy shit! Thank you for posting this show! Is there anymore of it? Glory be, the funk's on me!
