You want your paddles to be DEEP! NOT SHALLOW!

Timing, rhythm, and flow, good advice - add in correct paddling technique and your power will quickly improve. Yeah avoid the dog paddle for shizzle! Long extended smooth paddling is the way to flow. HA ha classic dude.
