  • I ment "We didn't start the fire" ....

  • Thank you issmaster1234 for putting up this song. I had it on LP, but it always jumped at the 2nd verse, which made my "singing along" even worse. But I still know the text by heart and I like it.

Did you know that Billy Joel is also the creator of the famous "viral" melodie, "we didn't put the fire"?

Greetings from Russia to the worlds

  • uhh wao ..genial

  • 'innolvidable' isn't a word...

  • Note the growl in Billy's voice. Maybe that's when his smokin' cigarettes started to affect his voice.

  • Thanx for the album version, with the glass breakin'! Billy hit #7 in Billboard, 5-3-80. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Shalom, Billy! Have a blessed weekend!

  • Around 3:01 - 3:13 reminds me of full house. :)

  • @EnergyFlashmonster I know, right? FH did use sax, in much of the incidental music.

  • I soooo love this song! I smile everytime I hear this..reminds me of my hubby and I mean that in the BEST way! Love ya Jesse!

  • A great song from a great LP ("Glass Houses") by Billy Joel! "You May Be Right" peaked on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in April 1980!

The most newsworthy event that occurred while this single was climbing the charts was the eruption of Mount St. Helens in Washington state.

    Bravo, Billy Joel!
