I am a HUGE Pearls Before Swine fan, and for this to be my first time seeing the genius behind this incredible strip (besides the in-comic cameos) is totally worth it. His sense of humor is amazing, and it's refreshing to know that he can bring it to life in the real world as well. He should definitely create a video blog. MAJOR kudos to Pastis and Pearls Before Swine!
You don't understand. Johnny Glynn never gets that movie. That part is perfect for him. It'll make him a big star. But I'm gonna run him out of the movies. And let me tell you why. He's a chubby chaser. Likes 'em fat. It disgusts me.
I showed this video at my OA meeting last week and we loved it. Mr. Glynn is a living embodiment that we are all God's children no matter how grotesque we may look to you.
A basic definition of a syndicate is a group of people or organizations working together to carry out a task. A syndicate such as Universal is an organization that publicizes a writer's work to newspapers, magazines, etc. Basically the equivalent to a writer or cartoonist, what an agent is to an actor.
And man, you people need to calm down. Just because the comics page is stuck in the 1940s doesn't mean the creators are. CARTOONISTS SWEAR, LE GASP. WHAT A CONCEPT.
It was funny, and creative to have them actually get in to the building and then film it all. But my only question would be "Where was security during all this?"
Best cameo belongs to Bill Amend, creator of "Foxtrot". I still haven't gotten over his retirement from the dailies..Foxtrot haven't been the same since then..
Great stuff! Stephan has a natural talent with the camera and his wit had me cracking up for this whole video. I've never read Pearls Before Swine, but watching this video makes me want to change that.
This video is an inspiration to all us people of large carriage. For the first time, really, we've found a chubby spokesperson who stands up for what he believes. Just because he's morbidly overweight doesn't mean he's jolly.
You can't just poke this proud fat man in the stomach and expect him to laugh. He's fighting back and I say it's about time someone did. Thank you, John Glenn for your courage and your appetite.
BTW, he reminds me a of a less attractive William Conrad.
The crocs are total Idiots. Sumtimes i just skip the other scripts and skip to the croc scripts

So, what we've always wondered is, Is Rat Stefan Pastis' alter-ego?
pattitsai 1 year ago 2
@pattitsai In some of his books Stephan has said that he often uses Rat to express his opinions so yes in a way but not 100% of the time.
