UNLV players refused to leave the field for about 15 minutes following Iowa State's 16-10 victory Saturday night.
The Rebels congregated at midfield, yelling at officials and shaking their helmets before coaches were finally able to convince them to head to the locker room.
After the game, review official Tom Ahlers said that he "deemed it a reviewable play, reviewed it, and did not overrule the play."
Funny, Sanford was fired because he couldn't get a winning record in five years of work. Sanford sucks but our new coach will not. I'm not expecting anything big, just a 7-6 season.

Most of the people just booed them for their lack of sportsmanship. Most of the crowd stayed until they left. The ISU football team did leave shortly after the catch.
All that ass hole ref had to do was give the unlv coach an honest explanation and shown some respect. When someone isn't given respect, they get kinda pissed off. I suspect when Iowa State visits las vegas next week UNLV will open a can of whoopass on them that they won't forget in quite some time. Payback is a M-F.

At least he runs a clean (losing) program.
Since Bayno left, UNLV has cleaned up all of its programs and now is agruably one of the cleanest all around programs in the country...UNLV enforces their strict rules and doesn't hire people that mess around.. Sanford and Lon Kruger have run very clean sports programs

UNLV sucks ass. I used to go there and then transfered to Iowa State! Talk about a bunch of students who fell way off the deep end. The only thing good about it is the city that it is located in.
UNLV even considered removing their football program all together this year. They do have a good B-ball team, I will give them that.

That'd be sad if they cut football, after the renovations to Sam Boyd. They'd probably lose the Vegas Bowl too, which is really becoming a good game.
And UNLV basketball is just getting good again; they've been pretty mediocre ever since Tark got busted for paying players.

First of all, Cy, your a fucking idiot. Our quarterback got hurt which was the ONLY reason Iowa State was still in the game. Second, at least our team has heart and fire even in the wake of a loss. Our thug school is still hands down better than any redneck college you attended. I pity you.
