I feel sorry for the experience bro Hussain went through during his early muslimhood. Bro Hussain became a muslim in yr 1968, then the dakwah or education was very limited in Malaysia. understanding of Islam were very lacking even among muslim Malay. The bad treatment were bcoz the fellow muslim has lesser knowledge and faith thanbro Hussain himself. That have changed a lot now bcoz of better education.

What Ustaz Hussain said is true. I am a Malay and I ashamed with my people in the past.

The Malay culture is mixed with Hindu that came before Islam. Some of the Malay did practice some of the black Magic etc. They also isolated and narrow minded when think what Malay is what Islam. More worst is a thought that only Malays are Muslim. This happens because of Norms and Dogma of the culture. Luckily it has change now. We also had Chinese Muslim MP, We had change now. Alhamdulillah.
