You are right, the real problem is that we have a system where one person or group can affect so many.
That is why I propose VP as an alternative, were we use the scientific method to create an abundance of all our wants, machines to do most work, then FREELY distribute it...
ONLY then can we eliminate greed, war, crime, money, social stratification and be TRULY FREE AT LAST.

@dontblockmedk Thats a very interesting idea. I can not say that I have heard such a proposal before, and would be interested in checking out that position.. could not hurt. One thing that I have to respectfully disagree with you on, is not that the "poor," cannot affect millions, but more or less all people, from all walks of life, poor or rich, through selfishness corrupt every system. People become greedy whether rich or poor, and greed does not revolve around money alone.

@dontblockmedk In that, the only system that will ultimately allow the individual to oppose corruption's infliction upon ourselves, is one in which the effects/affects of other people and those whom are in authority, to have less influence over your pocket and lifestyle choices. A system whose philosophy is to protect an individual from impeding upon another individual, so that we may be free from any form of outside influence that does not DIRECTLY give us individual strength.

@dontblockmedk You are the naive one.The only reason the US has an empire is because there has been so much wealth created in the US which allows them to expand militarily by way of a larger military budget.The US had NO empire before WWI ie before 1913.They were still the mightiest economic power then.No 'stealing' resources from the world or an empire - just plain free market capitalism.Now you give me one example where communism has worked.I gave you 3 countries that failed miserably.

@dontblockmedk If a business tries to jack up prices a free market does not block the entry of a competitor offering lower prices at a higher quality and he will start winning market share - the same reason why Japanese automakers were so successful. This applies to competition amongst food suppliers,water suppliers and energy companies.With CRONY capitalism,major corporations lobby to get regulations passed that will strengthen their competitive position against a potential disruptive newcomer.

@dontblockmedk I will give you 2 examples.1st one is of govt intervention, 2nd about crony capitalism.The banks thru the passage of the federal reserve act created a system that allows govt to bail them out if they are in trouble.If banks knew there was no fed to bail them out they would have never taken the risk to go bankrupt.It is also no coincidence that the cartel that created the fed were all banking competitors.With the fed, they created a risk free system that eliminated free banking.

@dontblockmedk As to why communism does not work, firstly there is no political choice in communism as per the manifesto - only 1 unchallenged authority. The govt controls all production & every1 gets the same no matter how hard they work or how lazy they are.There is no incentive to produce something new, to innovate that will drive down prices and increase quality of life so no wealth is created.This inevitably leads to shortages and the economy collapses eventually.

That is why everyone wants to (or wanted to once upon a time) immigrate to the USA for freedom and a chance for a better life. What other system than Western style capitalism has provided near universal access to min necessities? Not the soviet union, not north Korea, not Red China (before they started becoming capitalistic in the 1980s).

@dontblockmedk The dominating by you and me by big business is NEVER possible without the complicity of the govt regulators and those in office that distribute our tax payer dollars.That is why the argument to limit govt size is so popular - it reduces the incentive for special interests to go lobbying to Washington for our tax dollars. Tax dollars when, they get to Washington is always divided up for political reasons, never out of tax payer concern.

That's just it, the republican party is in the process of transition. They're going back to their roots, so to speak. It's not going to happen in one election cycle, but change is in the air, real change, not Obama's "Change", which was really more of the same. At least, that is the hope.
