No disrespect to Mr. Becker - but some of his licks seemed a bit off. The Dan has set their own bar so high, anything less than perfect just seems off.

A bit off? I disagree. If anything Donald Fagan's vocal is somewhat "pitchy" as Randy of American Idol would say. The rest of the band is in the pocket. I don't see "The Dan" setting any bar here. Perhaps you do not enjoy the latitude of live performance.
