  • I remember seeing the bit with Rita Moreno singing "Fever" on the Muppet Show Season One DVD.

  • For those who want to know how they did the bicycle scene, search for the Secrets of the muppets on youtube.

  • Krypto, the whole scene is explained in a show with Jim Henson called Secrets of the Muppets. It is part of the Henson hour series.

  • great episode

  • GREAT!

  • Damn, that bicycle scene is something else. :D

  • Lew Zealand: Hey guys! Let's show 'em that bicycle scene! That was my favorite! Everyone's been asking us how we did it!

Miss Piggy: Get that fish outta my face!

Anyway, according to Muppet Wiki, the scene was accomplished with marionettes. For the end of that scene, all of the bikes were latched together and pulled by on over-sized tricycle.

  • The Muppet Show was the most popular show in 100 Countries! It was taped in Elstree, a suburb of London, England.

  • Actually, that's about 108 countries, but it's still being disputed to this day.

  • Who was your favorite Muppet Show female guest star? I loved the way Kermit used to flirt with all the female guest stars in the talk spot of the 1st season back in the year 1976!

  • Twiggy! :)

  • I'm surprised that there was no talk spot with Kermit and Twiggy! Kermit would have flirted with her too!

  • I liked Liza Minnelli's appearance on the Muppet Show; her Copacabana number is one of my favorites!

  • I remember when Liza Minnelli also made a cameo guest star appearance in the 1984 movie, The Muppets Take Manhattan. Kermit accidentally bumped into her at the very exclusive celebrity restaurant Sardis' in New York!

  • funny... my sister was just in the city and took a picture of kermit's portrait which sits on the wall at the real Sardis

  • I was only 6 years old when they filmed The Muppets Take Manhattan at Sardis with Liza Minnelli back in the year 1984. I was very upset when Kermit got hit by the taxi!
