because this is some of the Smartest and intresting music to come out of England in years,

and your completely wrong about them being some 'fashion' band,

they been around for about two or three years

before anything "new rave" and are obviously not following trends because i think you'd find it very hard to name a band that sounds just like them.

that's what they all say. i like a wide range of music. all you had to do is look at the line up for the Dot to Dot festival and see that its all the same. well, most of it. im not saying it shouldnt be liked, i just cant understand why its liked this much. how is adding some squelch to a few simple riffs and beats 'smart' or 'interesting'?

but its not this band that are guilty of using simple riffs and adding squelches

some bands are Too hyped for doing that and i agree they dont deserve to be liked.

But i think Late of the pier are doing theyre own thing and they stand out of the dot to dot festival line up etc.
