  • Lordfantas. if you weren't too busy being a douchebag you'd know that this game is a piece of shit. and oh what position did you play in football? left out? no wait. you were probably the center. seeing as to how you know so much about gap assignments. so did you ever come out of the closet? after all you chose to be center cause u wanted the QB putting his hands all over your ass. you two were probably gay together. fucking douchebag,

  • I think there was a fix re: short yardage, I think its purposely low %, cause of last year, any short run was money.

  • why must you run it up the gut with 3 WRs and no FB on 4th and 1? know football. if you played football in high school you'd know about how blocking assignments worked you'd understand why the play gets blocked that way. and maybe then you'd know a little bit about play calling too.

  • he was spreading the defense out to make the run up the middle easier, this happens all the time in football, the game clearly decided to have those linemen miss their block to stop him, there is no excuse for what happened, this game is fucked up.

  • well, if you watched the chargers broncos game on Monday night, you's see that a play like this getting stuffed in a short yardage situation is pretty realistic.

  • Yes this play does get stuffed alot in the NFL, but there was no reason for the o-line to react like that during that play, they completely missed their assignments because the cpu made them thus causing the play to be stopped, in the NFL this play is stopped because the o-line gets beat not because they run away from the man they are supposed to block.

  • Never claimed the computer AI was perfect, my point was that it was a bad call. I know the idea is to spread the defense, but they came out in their base 43 D with 7 in the box. No matter how it was blocked, there was a chance for a free defender to make a stop like that. You have to play the odds in Madden, especially against the computer. My initial reply was a little harsh, but only because versus placed all the blame on the computer instead of seeing that his call may have been to blame.

  • Uhm..Doing a bad call in the nfl doesn't make the O-line act retarded and run away from people they're supposed to block. Unless you're saying that in this game, the line is supposed to be forcibly shifted away from their men in order to compensate for not being able to emulate an actual NFL situation?

  • Well, considering the left guard appears to have been the one assigned to block Freeney, no I don't think they run from people as you suggest. I think that whenever there are more defenders in the box than there are blockers that the AI has trouble deciding how to determine the blocking assignments. None of the linemen ran away from their man, the entire line blocked down, and it would have worked just fine if Freeney wasn't too fast for the guard.

  • you sound just like me when im talking to my friends about madden all depressed and down on the world lol madden sucks ass
