Just half an hour at night before you go to sleep, or even take it to work and read during your lunch break. Library books are free, and by doing this, you'll easily get through a good book within about a week, and hopefully learn to spell better in the process :D

It is Japanese Kanji for Wolf, and they left out the upward hook on the first "letter" on the bottom. But again, its not necessary because there are so many translations and designs that if you didnt know it, you can't tell.

The wrongfull spelled words are not only that of the person getting the tattoo, but also the person doing the tattoo. In these instances, obviously neither can read or spell... Because most of time the artist will say, "Okay go check it out and tell me how it looks. And most of the time(i would guess in these cases) it is the persons first tattoo and they're so anxious to get it they overlook the details. my last tat i got, the artist messed up on the design, but its not a "necessary" component.

Either save your money and hire a real artist, or make very sure the person doing the tat' can do portraits. As for the bad spelling, this is problably the fault of both parties involved.
