Valsts himna Latvija ir patiešām beautifull. Tas ir ļoti interesanti atšķirība starp kultūrām. Šeit, Brazīlijā, ja kāds jautāja viena par labu, piemēram, es lūdzu jūs, iespējams, neviens to atbildēt (cilvēki ir ļoti egoistiski un dažreiz agresīva). Bet es saprotu, ka tas `mazliet atšķirīga Latvija. Man, visvairāk precious dārgumu nācija ir izglītība: APSVEICAM!

Here, in Brazil, if someone asked a single favor like i asked you, probably nobody would answer it (people are very selfish and sometimes aggressive). But i realize that it`s a bit different in Latvia. Man, the most precious treasure of a nation is the education and i think your country realized it: CONGRATULATIONS!

My Latvian friend, Ilze got in BIG trouble at the age of 11 for sneaking off to a church and was disgraced before her classmates to the Soviet National Anthem while her red scarf was yanked off her neck and she was expelled from the Young Pioneers communist party. Ilze's father also lost his job as editor of the local communist newpaper. Isn't it justice that the Latvian National anthem should be,

"GOD bless Latvia?"

Every national anthem that honours God has a fantastic sound and brings a lot of blessing to the whole country. Furthermore, I believe you had no idea that the word 'Dievs' means 'God', did it immediately become more beautiful to you?
