I am actually in this video. I'm at the very end in the London subway scene. I'm wearing a blue plaid flannel shirt, shorts and I have a long pony tail. It was a lot of fun working on this shoot that day.

My old band and I were playing New Year's Eve in Panorama, British Columbia, and were just about to head down to the show. Someone found this on the TV, which changed everything. We all locked ourselves into one hotel room to watch it - with the promoter banging on the door. We opened it once to threaten him and to have hime go get more beer ( which he did ), then he joined us. We were 45 mins late but it was worth it!
me too....especially the double-neck bass from Nigel...heh...actually...all kidding aside...Big Bottem with Neal Peart on drums would friggin Rock...bring the Gong!
Harry Shearer provided his talents to an episode of a brilliant Australian series called 'Frontline'. It was all about a commercial news outfit trying to provide the news, and ratings, etc.
Harry Shearer was brilliant in this particular episode. I do recall that the colour orange was significant during his moment.
Can anyone help me to track down this brilliant series?
Anybody noticed that John "Ozzie" Osbourne is listed as Technical Director in the end credits? Was the (f*ck*ng) prince of (f*ck*ng) darkness really involved in this Spinal Tap?
some of you have forgot that it s just entertainment !! its not a real band :) they are comedians before being musicians . the success of the 1st " spinal tap " made them tour , make album etc.. but they are COMEDIANS ! you know . debate about the lyrics is so funny :)
It would be great if they were a real band, because I have found myself obsessed with them. How cool would it have been to be in the audience for that show?
That is the main fall of Spinal Tap. They are accomplised musicians but their lyrics are so childish. And they kicked onto the Psychadelic fad in 67, at its peak.
They are good musicians. Their failure came from their immature lyrics and how they always jumped on a music bandwagon just as the fad was winding down.
Loving the suggestivey shaped mic that reporter is using ;)

spinal tap novice here.......to what degree do they play their own instruments?
posthumanhero 2 years ago
They are actually musicians and they do play and record their own instruments. They are decent enough musicians but of course it's all comedy.

I'm still waiting for a brushed up rendition of 'Lick My Love Pump'. Maybe the complete trilogy.

What are you talking about? I still have Shark Sandwich on vinyl, which I think was a very under rated album.

under-recorded too, and a bit under-played as well
