hi mate how you geting on with your model,i will be putting a new video on in the next few days,of my 1/24th model skid, wel on its way to being finished, please comment ,and let me know what you think
Things have been very slow over the past few months due to having the attic extended so I haven't really touched the Waltzer and other models since late November. Nowhere to put the models now until I've sorted everything, so I've had to pull most of them down. I'm hoping I will get up there this week to plan it all out then I'll be glad to resume the progress on the Waltzer and my other models. Will keep you updated.
im building one based on terry hills waltzer, got the base girders n trams on so far.does anyone know how to go about getting the artwork done,i want scrolls n swirls as id like it to look exactly like the real machine..very good model by the way simon
Thanks for your comment. The easiest way to do the artwork is, photograph the real swirls on the real ride. Go home, print them off on sticker paper, and stick them on to your rounding boards, panels etc. Make sure you resize your pictures of the artwork to the right size of your model, though, as they usually come out quite big.
Well, people build these from scratch or using plans. You are un-likely to find one already built with lights, artwork etc, but there may be the odd one on eBay every now & then that will work but doesn't come with lights.
Well, I bought the model ready made & painted. I've just repainted the uprights and put lights on the model. But it took me about 3 weeks to do in my spare time as I had a problem with the motor after I bought the model. Had to fix that first then I went straight to adding things to the model, ie speakers, lights etc. :)
It's still not finished, though, but there's no rush to complete it. ;)
hey what materials did you use im going to make one my self i need a list

Hi, well this one is made literally just from wood. Apart from just a few metal & plastic bits on the model it's just all wood really.
