  • Why is it that only taxis die in Armageddon?

  • Thank you for not ruining this with some gay song

  • lol if i counted the frames the final anser would be: 2 Frames lol.oh and ya ummmmmm horrible vidio quality for the begining of "Independence Day"

  • In Armageddon i love the black guy sitting there talking about the explosions because notice he never dies in the movie and hes like WHOA LOOK AT THOSE EXPLOSIONS

  • lol New Athens City is Being Destroyed

  • 1:26 ELLIS!!!

  • OH CRAP

  • even after 9/11 why is it still ok to blow up n.y.?

  • DIE!!!! NEW YORK DIE!!!!!

  • @MrSerbia1389 whats wrong with u

  • @MrSerbia1389 Ya well they name Serbia once. For "Shithole".

  • And all of these movies sucked.

  • why is it always New York? in just about every disaster movie it gets blow up or hit by a tsunami or some shit.

  • @TheFullthrottleOwnag ikr whyis it always new york it just annoys me cause i live thier!

  • @TheFullthrottleOwnag I'm no Director, but I'd guess that it's probablly because there are so many people in New York that the large concentration of people in one area makes the events that take place there even more deadly and catastrophic. That's just a guess, though.

  • This is INdependence day right!?? awesome mv

  • you can call that movie GODZILLA!!!! that is crap not a godzilla movie

  • you forgot king kong and the day after tommorow

  • you forgot 9/11

  • @hildergarn 9/11 isn't a movie you moron. It happened in real life. The entire city of New York wasn't destroyed either, Just the World Trade Center

  • @xStashHousex There is a movie called 9/11 actually, stupid shit.

  • @Kadarius20 but 9/11 did happen in real life, alien invasions, godzilla attacks and meteor showers don't happen in real life or at least they don't

  • mexico city for sure never gets destroyed in any disaster film

  • i think i hear someone scream allah.

  • *crystler building blows up* Pilot: Aw damn..

  • at 0:23 is it just me or did i hear praise Allah. im not trying to be racist i am a muslim but did you hear some one say that also.

  • independence day sucked very bad!!!

  • Rio wil be destroyed in 2012

  • @ANSYS754 First time I see a non-commercial city being destroyed in film.

  • Why is it always the crystler building that blows up? xD

  • so, the safest place to go when ur city is being destroyed is Brazil! kkk

  • so nobody recognises london. or the houses of parliament anymore? man this world is dumb

  • Well what with every member of parliament being in cahoots with corruption charges, do we want to recognize it for now?

  • well i suppose it would still be cool to watch all those posh buildings getting flattebed, like in v for vendetta

  • too true.

I find it funny that all natural disasters always target major cities and locations. lol. District 9 was the only realistic aspect of the disaster theme in that it happened in a lesser known location.

  • y is london never destroyed? cos theres lotsa cool stuff 2 blow up there, houses of parliament, london eye, the fancy place next to the london eye, the big dildo building, buckingham palace, westmister cathedrel, tower bridge etc etc

  • London gets destroed too! Movie examples: V for Vendetta, Fantastic Four: Rise of Silver Surfer, 2012, and umm... I guess you're right! London doesn't get destroyed that much! But was really pisses me off is that Seattle Never gets destoyed in any movies. EVER!

  • canada is barely even mentioned in most hollywood crap too

  • why is it always new york city??? i mean cant the disasters ever happen in like chicago or miami or something? haha.

  • i guess its because new york has the most known landmarks in the world. everybody on the planet recognizes the brooklyn bridge, empire state building, statue of liberty etc :-)

  • this is messws up cause i live in ny

  • haha, i'm watching ID4 now.

  • You should update this to include Cloverfield. :)

  • cloverfield flattened NY xD

  • that movie was pretty crappy but exciting at the same time, i live in New York so every time they have movies here i always try to see if i recognize the place :D

  • well i just know NY a bit i recognize stuff too

  • I love movies when the cities are being destroyed!

But it is also a pity to watch such awesome buildings going down.. Like the Empire State Building or the Chrysler Building.. But they're always targeting those two! :P

  • why is it always New York, LA, or San Francisco?

No Chicago? Boston? Detroit? Seattle? Houston? Miami? All BIG Cities!!

  • what aout cloverfield man just put clips of new york being attacked its better than godzilla

  • Watch out for ghosts too. Good thing we can count on the Statue of Liberty coming alive and kicking some ass.

  • there is always a taxi driver lol.

  • no wonder everybody has a grudge against NYC

  • It's just very destructable. Lotsa tall buildings.

  • why does Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston, Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco, Houston, Miami, Washington DC etc. ever get destroyed?

24/7 its either NYC or LA

  • I have no idea....

  • Yeah, the New York being destroyed thing is old now, i want to see those mother fucker in miami

  • I still wonder why no one does Washington D.C. as often. I mean, the White House should be just recognizable than the Statue of Liberty.

  • finally someone thinks the same way in the core san francisco gets distroyed indapenice day dc gets distoryed as well as houston but you dont see much of that idk why knowone does chicago its the 3rd largest in the city it has alot of land marks i mean theres so much you can do with the sears tower alone

  • It was confirmed by the movie makers that the monster came from a Japanese company, the same company that the main character was going to work for so his friends throwed him a going away party. At the end of the movie in the carnival scene you can see that company's satellite crashing into the sea, that was also confirmed by the movie makers. For once in their lives they're actually telling us stuff and not leaving their creations in complete mystery like they did with Lost.

  • The Cloverfield monster was from Atlantis :P

  • Nope, came from Japan.

  • You forgot the Cloverfield monster, he's from Japan.

  • Oh my... Deep Impact, Independence Day, Armagedon, Gozilla... This is getting way to boring, they are always destroying the same buildings, the same city and the killing the usual population of Manhattan ... Why don't they try destroying Rio Berlin, Buenos Aires instead... or at least The Bronx ;)

  • Because New York is the most recognised city in the world. Even a 4 year old knows that the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building is in New York.

  • actually in cloverfield you can see the empire state collapsing

  • no that's the woolworth building dude

  • New York always gets drestroyed becuase it's one of the largest cities in the world. Everyone in the world knows about New York - with its distinct landmarks and skyscrapers... so it brings strong feelings to people when they see this great city gets destroyed, guess that's why so many movies directors use it.

  • lol new york is a giant target!!!

  • it dose along with Los Angeles but i think we can disotry more great citys in america like miamai or chicago boston ect ect cause i can only see ny getting distroyed so many times that it gets kinda boring after awile

  • It's always New York.

  • Cause New York rocks!

  • I s'pose. But New York always gets destroyed.

  • yeah...and you also forgot Deep Impact and The Day After Tomorow!!!

  • Never heard of Deep Impact, but The Day after Tomorrow didn't exactly destroy New York, so I didn't see much point in putting that in.

  • you forgot cloverfield!!! (even though it still didn't come out, the preview shows NY destruction)

  • Cloverfield doesn't show any NY landmarks being destroyed, only thing close is the Statue of Liberty's head being thrown into the downtown area. Even if I did put it in, it wouldn't be as exciting.

  • it doesn't really show any Landmarks being destroyed(besides the SoL, BB and Woolworth) but you do see the Chrysler and Grand Central in the movie but the City does get destroyed in the end.
