It is because every politician in recent history has been funded by the same corrupt corporations with puppet elections held to give the people an illusion of choice. Ron Paul is funded by more military personnel than all the other candidates combined!... 50%+... The rest comes from civilians ONLY...no corporate strings attached. He voted against the war, ALL of the wasteful bailouts and help uncover 9 trillion dollars in illegal loans made by the fed to banking institutions!
So what if Ron Paul is against anything...he doesn't believe the government should interfere with individual liberties, states governments would decide the abortion issue...if you live in a prochoice state then there would be no conflict. I happen to be prochoice and atheist as well. Concerning the comments about Ron Paul supporters not being welcome here, I would say you morons saying such things have NO CLUE why Mr. Carlin states there is an illusion of choice...
@Seldona Its a moral issue, why should we waste time on such bullshit at the federal level...why should it be decided for us all, some twits have a god complex about the issue...I don't care what a woman does with her own body, if the people in a particular state decide abortion is ok then why should the federal government stick their fucking nose in the people's business??? I suppose you are one of those rah rah rah christian nuts...
@alphakraker its called smoke and mirrors...Bush did it in 2004 when he got re elected...he ran on Gays and Illegal mexicans...got in built half a fence and then bombed an innocent country for oil...
No joke, if you want to see how "TRUE" this is....go to pbs.org and watch the Documentary
"Buying the War" by Bill Moyers.
He breaks it all down...even back when Bush was trying to "sell" the War--shows clips of Bush fumbling cards and say "who here should I ask first"---all the questions vetted before hand.....It's ALL LIES!! (precisely why they want to take away the internet from the common man)---What other place could you get 100,000 people to read what you gotta say than then Internet?
@Daikokuten777 Yes..the internet is a threat...middle east dictactors that were put in place by america...heads have rolled cause of what they dont want...ppl talking to ppl...and not this bs of the country telling us who we should hate...
I wished george could see the Ron Paul 2012 movement. Mr. George Carlin was right...we have always have the illusion of choice...If the fascist bankster pigs try to fix this election, it will be the last straw and they know it. In fact we need people in each district to watch the counting process at each step. Don't give these bastards any slack, its our only chance thanks to a wise honorable and steadfast true man of liberty.
@alphakraker Ron Paul is against abortion, Carlin was pro-choice. Carlin did not buy into the "Sanctity of Life" position. He said it was human self interest and that life is an ongoing process.
@mattydigs RON PAULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL FUCK NEWT GINGRICH AND MITT ROMNEY AND ALL THOSE OTHER RICH COCKSUCKERS,THEY SHOULD GO BACK TO THEIR LITTLE FANTASY LANDSS OF RICH AND WEALTH.

But being a simple man i feel l humbled after all what i have learnt from your fearless views...and i have long wiped the propaganda from my eyes. Thanks for the vision , George.
He's the lucky one. He's free of all the bullshit that the rest of us have to put up with. We need more PEOPLE (men and women) like him, speaking out in the mass media to kick this country in the ass to wakes us all UP!
I think that RSFO is being satirical, right? Saying that Ron Paul supporters are like beer pong/halo 3 playing bros? You know, the same guys who enjoy Dane Cook and have never heard of Bill Hicks.
Carlin explains exactly how the world is. I guess it's funny 'cause it's true. I think it's kinda scary and knowing that he's correct makes me really not want to pay taxes or use the funny money. That's how they control you and fund wars and prisons.
True, but Ron Paul has no big banker sponsors, or big corporate sponsors. He hasn't changed his positions since 1988, making him the most consistent candidate, not to mention the only true libertarian. I believe for the first time in a long time we have a chance to do some slight good for this country and a slim chance to get it on a good track. So you can sit on your ass and say it's all an illusion but why not try? Why not pick the better bad guy over the worse one? You just sound lazy.
@TheWizenhymer When Ron Paul means what he is saying (I think he does; don't agree all the time) he is playing with his live (I mean e.a. to get rid of the FED).
@TheWizenhymer What a terrible argument you have. Why not try? It would be arbitrary to "try" if one is aware of how bad all the candidates are, yet s/he simply picks one because the candidate is the "better bad guy." That is incredibly stupid and mindless. Paul is a libertarian for the most part, which in its totality, I cannot support. He is not the answer. Don't fool yourself
@Laoch111 That's a very simplistic approach to the issue though. Terrorists do exist, the issue stems from how the American leadership decided to deal with that issue. They dealt with it in an extremely invalid fashion; fighting aggression with overkill.
@LeftyHipHop It's not antisemitism, in the context (a video remembering the US is a warmongering nation) it was problably criticism against the US policy of always support Israel even when they are obviously breaking international laws & treaties.
Love Carlin. The world is a darker place without him. Also, this isn't the place for the ron paul 2012 bullshit. Paul is just the same kind of asshole aristocrat being referred to in this video.
@TheWizenhymer Fair enough. I'm pro gay marriage, pro equal treatment, pro choice in instances of rape health risks and inviability. I'm pro police, pro UN, and believe in secular schools and a secular government. That said, Obama is not a good choice but he is the best choice available. After him I'd say Huntsman.
@TheN0username I'd say Paul is best, Huntsman maybe second as well. Ron is a libertarian, which beliefs are that you cannot do anything to someone without their consent. Which is an idea that you can't really argue. I'm also for Secularity. Ron Paul is looking to give the states the decision on things like gay marriage, which well, is better than nothing. Paul is far from perfect but in my eyes the best choice.
@TheWizenhymer His stances on deregulation and his belief in the "free market" prove he's just another asshole. He'd throw you to the (corporate) wolves just like anyone else if he had the power and chance. GTFO with this political BS.
@TheWizenhymer They're all corporate/banking whores in some way or form. Ron Paul while having some nice positions is still in the same boat and possibly way more dangerous than most of them.. There's no way I could pick. They all suck so bad.
@mattydigs You've claimed every one of them are corporate/banking whores, specifically Ron Paul, can you explain what exactly you mean by that and to what extent? I know you have a limited space, but if you or anyone else could provide some sound evidence for your claims i'd be grateful. Or if you clear up what you mean I may agree and not know it, the comment is just too vague for me to look at it without having to evoke more emotion than logic.
@Buddypalbro I already explained it.His views on deregulation and his belief in the "free market" are so incredibly naive for someone so seemingly intelligent. Look at the history of deregulated industries and you will see that it's riddled with failures where the corporations took over and the consumer now has no choices, horrible service, higher rates, etc.Not all regulations are bad. Some are very good. What makes you think letting corporations do whatever they want is a good idea?
@mattydigs Furthermore, this is not a 'minor' issue. This is a 'could ruin the entire country' issue depending on what RP would do in office. We can't take that risk. If it weren't for this issue I would consider voting for him. Everyone else is a scumbag for sure and I don't feel like writing an essay about it... just do some research on your own.
@mattydigs You tell me to "look at the history" and "do some research". It's making the assumption that I haven't done this enough and therefore do not believe you. That's not it, I simply don't believe your ideas because you haven't proven them. If you're saying history is evidence, then you have to demonstrate how(in a logical discussion). Knowledge can come from proven claims, this is a part of learning. I don't remember saying this is a minor issue either, but maybe someone else did.
@mattydigs You shared your feelings but didn't offer support for the claims that you made, that's all I was asking about. Not all regulations are bad indeed, what makes me think letting corporations do whatever they want is a good idea? Why do I have to argue that? I never said that, and I don't remember RP saying that. I feel that you're exaggerating his stance, but i'm open to claims, you've just only given me vague ideas to support them. I aim to know rather than believe things - if possible.
@Buddypalbro He believes in letting the corporations run amok. That's what deregulation does. He believes the "free market would regulate itself".That's exactly what he has said and it is so completely naive and moronic that I think he's a corporate crony. He's too smart to not know that the 'free market' is not free at all.The deck is stacked on the corporations side. That's why we need regulations to keep them in check.Thats why I won't vote for him.How hard is this to understand?
@mattydigs Furthermore do I really need to prove any of this? Deregulation is defined. It's been implemented. I don't need to show you what it does. Corporate control on the market (any market) is very pronounced. It's all around. If you can't see it well that's kind of sad but I don't need to prove to you that it's there and I don't need to say anything else about this. It's all plain to see.
@Buddypalbro I honestly could care less what the man does with his food products, and if you showed me those pictures, I would decline to look at them... And if you think I'm dodging your question, you're right. All I'm going to say is that this big business mogul is an Ayn Rand believer, who doesn't even read his own racist news letter. He's gained internet popularity by overusing the term "unconstitutional" and differing every argument to be decided at the local level.
@TheN0username I hope you're not done learning and growing when it comes to Dr. Paul's platform, because at this point you're reflecting a superficial misunderstanding of the constitution's and president's roles ought to be in restoring a fallen republic.
@LucidFelix I am done, actually. This guy is universally fourth place, his small but vocal internet fanbase didn't do enough to sell his campaign and his stance on workers rights was ridiculous. He wrote a book claiming that if a person is sexually harassed in the workplace, it is that person's responsibility to find a new place to work rather than seek protection under civil rights legislation. Clearly, he has no idea what it is like to actually be part of the work force of America.
@TheN0username false, did you notice that ron paul is anti-war, and receives no money from corporations? he agrees with carlin on many things. He is not rich, and not an aristocrat. please do your research.
@edasnoraa I love this argument the most. The "I used to think like you, but got smarter" approach. I laugh when creationists say this to supporters of evolution, and I laugh at you now. Regardless, right now I hope the Ron Paul movement just gets bigger and bigger, because he isn't getting the Republican nomination, so the more people write-in Ron Paul, the more likely Barack Obama is to stay in office.
@TheN0username Whenever you find time to pull that dick out of your ass go look up ron paul's policies and if you don't like them suck that shit covered dick that you had in your ass 10 minutes before.
@BlowtheBridge From Ron Paul's book "Freedom Under Seige"- “Employee rights are said to be valid when employers pressure employees into sexual activity. Why don’t they quit once the so-called harassment starts? Obviously the morals of the harasser cannot be defended, but how can the harassee escape some responsibility for the problem? Seeking protection under civil rights legislation is hardly acceptable.” This is one of many viewpoints where he has betrayed his own biases.
I don't think that Carlin will ever be able to rest in peace. He's probably in whatever afterlife there may be going around to the dead and ranting. Or he's just watching all this bullshit thats happening, laughing, and saying "At least i don't have to deal with that anymore."
@PrescottProductions4 We need a reorganization of government, not some pre-war WWII isolationism or some crazy idea that by cutting government spending on programs that benefit the American people are somehow going to protect our civil liberties or protect us from large corporations getting bailouts on the American tax dollar.
@punkmusicmetal I love Ron Paul because he is consistent and honest; I don't like Ron Paul because people are supporting him believe the worst is gonna happen so they'll take anyone who is perceived to be working against status quo.
Maybe it's time we take our comedians seriously. This guy was just telling it like it is. There is a book that does the same thing. The Dawn of Intelligence. 30 years in the making and they tried to stop me. Read it for FREE on Wildman Walker's Blog.
It makes me cry because Carlin was always political, but it seemed like near the end of his life he really stepped it up, he did a lot of interviews and appearances, it seemed like he was really fighting for truth, perhaps the last gasping breath.
3:40 absolutely right...faux democracy with good propaganda is what we have. I will no longer validate any of it by participating. No more banks, no more voting, growing food, biking and walking...screw these jokers, all of 'em...we can live very well (better) WITHOUT their systems and discounted plastic crap.
Please read this. This is an official document from PNAC's site. Be baffled by the shameless imperial militarism these people advocate. Notice this was published 1 year before 9/11 and the War on Terror.
w w w . newamericancentury . org / RebuildingAmericasDefenses . p d f
You know who runs this shit? You know because of who we spend this this much on defense? You know because of who we keep invading countries? You know for who 9/11 was convenient? PNAC. A neoconservative thinktank that advocates the unbridled use of war in clearing the world for US dominance and private interest of the people in this club. Want some examples? Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Libby, ...
@Atrox9000 I live in Norway. So we'll just watch as your country burns ;) This can be prevented though, if the american people actually do something with their corrupt regime.
Wasn't until Obama that I realize that Americans really don't have power over their country. They elected a man who ran on change, he ended up being just like every other president. Threw a bone to the gays in the military, and signed a half-assed healthcare reform bill. Obama is as much of a hawk as Bush.
It is amazing how people get really offended when the truth gets spoken about their situation. America always gets duped into thinking that they choose their presidents, did you really think McCain was going to win? and Bush was always going to win his classmate John Kerry. America will be tricked once again. Obama wanted to change America for good, but turned bad. They can offer Ron Paul, but he will promise the world but when they are in power they realise who really calls the shots!
Sadly enough, the video itself is propaganda, taking the entire message and turning it on itself as an oxymoron. His message is for people to understand the facts and to use them to make their own decisions. This video presents no results for his supposed motives he is talking about. It just pushes people to think against something they know nothing about! The people who were persuaded to dislike government by this video are the exact people he's making fun of and trying to wake up.
@TheRandomSkillz Okey. If you haven´t seen the documentary "Inside Job" I strongly recommend If you want to have a clue what is going on in the USA and who REALLY got the power and rules the country.
@HIHIMIII56 and that's exactly why the US government wants to pass that censorship law. so that videos like this and sites who contain documentaries like the one you say will be removed from the internet (and thus public view) or access to them will be restricted to non americans... the land of the free will become china
@jpteknoman Yes. I see more and more similarities i USA and China. For ex. why USA leaders are so eager to get their hands on Assange because Wikileaks exposes american doings in for ex. Afghanistan. In china the gouverment kill or throw this kind of people in jail.
Don´t forget to watch "inside Job" if you don´t want to be ignorant about what´s going on in the USA.
No candidate is perfect- they're all spinning like tops EXCEPT for Paul. Domestic front will be tempered by Senate/Congress. Carlin was right, if you listened to him. I'm not a libertarian, but independent; main concern is ongoing wasting of lives first, money, 2nd. We either finish the job or leave; since we're not doing the first, we need to do the second- This feels too much like 'Nam. And why the heck is Obama sending troops to Australia now?
@Dawnphyre I more than want USA troops to NOT be there... wish OZ would just say no... look it up at reuters, 11/17/12 (youtube won't let me post a link for some reason)
@Xavalexa That's about the last thing we need; a creationist in the White House. Libertarians are idiots if they actually subscribe to their own ideology. no regulations on anything? No laws against drugs? Privatized everything? I'll have to pay a firefighting corporation to save my house from burning to the ground in a Ron Paul run nation. That leads to one thing=complete anarchy. Humans can't function like that.
George Carlin was very intelligent. His views are true, and I am sure he knew that those who would oppose his views would laugh at him. So he took that, became a Comedian and made money from the people who laughed at his views whilst educating people about what really is going on. Clever man. I respect that.
Great video! George Carlin will never die - he's immortal as long as his words are kept. Freedom of speech - don't let the government burn these words, because they will inspire a generation, and inspiration is the key to renewing freedom for every man woman and child in this world. Information and knowledge is power. Stay educated.

I know you have a limited space, but if you or anyone else could provide some sound evidence for your claims i'd be grateful. Or if you clear up what you mean I may agree and not know it, the comment is just too vague for me to look at it without having to evoke more emotion than logic.
Buddypalbro 1 month ago
@Buddypalbro I already explained it.His views on deregulation and his belief in the "free market" are so incredibly naive for someone so seemingly intelligent. Look at the history of deregulated industries and you will see that it's riddled with failures where the corporations took over and the consumer now has no choices, horrible service, higher rates, etc.Not all regulations are bad. Some are very good. What makes you think letting corporations do whatever they want is a good idea?
mattydigs 1 month ago
@mattydigs Furthermore, this is not a 'minor' issue. This is a 'could ruin the entire country' issue depending on what RP would do in office. We can't take that risk. If it weren't for this issue I would consider voting for him. Everyone else is a scumbag for sure and I don't feel like writing an essay about it... just do some research on your own.
mattydigs 1 month ago
@mattydigs You tell me to "look at the history" and "do some research". It's making the assumption that I haven't done this enough and therefore do not believe you. That's not it, I simply don't believe your ideas because you haven't proven them. If you're saying history is evidence, then you have to demonstrate how(in a logical discussion). Knowledge can come from proven claims, this is a part of learning. I don't remember saying this is a minor issue either, but maybe someone else did.
Buddypalbro 1 month ago
@mattydigs You shared your feelings but didn't offer support for the claims that you made, that's all I was asking about. Not all regulations are bad indeed, what makes me think letting corporations do whatever they want is a good idea? Why do I have to argue that? I never said that, and I don't remember RP saying that. I feel that you're exaggerating his stance, but i'm open to claims, you've just only given me vague ideas to support them. I aim to know rather than believe things - if possible.
Buddypalbro 1 month ago
@Buddypalbro He believes in letting the corporations run amok. That's what deregulation does. He believes the "free market would regulate itself".That's exactly what he has said and it is so completely naive and moronic that I think he's a corporate crony. He's too smart to not know that the 'free market' is not free at all.The deck is stacked on the corporations side. That's why we need regulations to keep them in check.Thats why I won't vote for him.How hard is this to understand?
mattydigs 1 month ago
@mattydigs Furthermore do I really need to prove any of this? Deregulation is defined. It's been implemented. I don't need to show you what it does. Corporate control on the market (any market) is very pronounced. It's all around. If you can't see it well that's kind of sad but I don't need to prove to you that it's there and I don't need to say anything else about this. It's all plain to see.

@PrescottProductions4 We need a reorganization of government, not some pre-war WWII isolationism or some crazy idea that by cutting government spending on programs that benefit the American people are somehow going to protect our civil liberties or protect us from large corporations getting bailouts on the American tax dollar.

They can offer Ron Paul, but he will promise the world but when they are in power they realise who really calls the shots!
djmoski9999 2 months ago
Sadly enough, the video itself is propaganda, taking the entire message and turning it on itself as an oxymoron. His message is for people to understand the facts and to use them to make their own decisions. This video presents no results for his supposed motives he is talking about. It just pushes people to think against something they know nothing about! The people who were persuaded to dislike government by this video are the exact people he's making fun of and trying to wake up.

It can be seen on Vodpod
HIHIMIII56 2 months ago
@HIHIMIII56 and that's exactly why the US government wants to pass that censorship law. so that videos like this and sites who contain documentaries like the one you say will be removed from the internet (and thus public view) or access to them will be restricted to non americans... the land of the free will become china
jpteknoman 2 months ago 18
