I've got the Monza 6-2-1 headers on my S130Z. No muffler, shit is louder than that. Low revs and at idle, sounds like a V8.

ive got the same motor(L28) with msa 6 into 1 header and straight exhaust (no cat/resonator). rev the shit out of it.

You said "open pipes", you mean no muffler or exhaust manifold only - no pipes?
You have got to be kidding cause even a MSA 6-1 header makes a Z sound like a trash truck.

I simply removed all of the exhaust from the cat on back... got pulled over for it once though

Sounds great, but isn't it a little high for a stock l28 redline? I thought it was only around 6.5-7K rpm. That sonded like around 7.5-8K. Decent shape for a Z, though.
