holy crap. just found this. thanks for the credit but I am sure that someone else has done this somewhere before. Furthermore, it is in a group of descends. I don't have a specific name for it, other than it is in a group of ways to 'descend' down the pole. Make sense? Also, I try to get the outside leg parallel to the pole and hips flat so that the hooked leg's knee is pointed to the floor and the pole in actually right above the hamstring. Make sense. You amaze me!!!!!! XOXOXOXOOX
hey joel, i have missed you!! cool move there. that must really burn the inner arm hey? i hope you aren't too hairy on that side, i know that'd kill my hubby, hehe. he's an ape:) anyhow, i got alot of catching up to do. i'll drop u a line in the next couple days i promise. gotto go in for a OUCHIE, procedure today, wish me luck, no worries iam not dying. had to stop by and give u some praise. well done!! a+++++++
Thanks, Shelly.....Whew...glad to finally hear from you because I was getting a bit worried. Best of luck and get well soon! Nothing wrong with taking a break and resting your bod, lol! Things here are going pretty much OK...the usual chaos with the start of the new school year...but that's typical. Jake's off to college..Johannah just started High School. Take your time, drop me a PM whenever you get a chance...take care!
I hope it's the "good" kind of exhausted...from a successful, fun trip. I love that city so much...even though I've only been three times. The underground city is my favorite...never tire of the idea of all that stuff going on beneath the street, LOL! It kind of reminds me of those Richard Scarry books from when I was a kid--all the cut-away views of buildings, skyscrapers, tunnels...you know... life in the exciting city!
The mechanics are not terribly hard...but it does take a little scraping and bruising on the armpits--but that is because I am VERY heavy. It's not an invert...so it's not dangerous if you fall...as long as you stay low to the ground. Put a few pillows down...give it a try!
I know this is a odd comment but pole dancing has your legs looking awesome. They're so shapely and well toned... Seriously ^_^ . It sucks they pulled your music, I hate when they do that. Anyway keep up the good work, you inspire me to take the next step in trusting myself on the pole. Everyday I think I'm getting closer to doing inverts.
THank You! I also ride bikes a lot, too--so I get a good lower body work out that way. No problem about the inverts, Just take your time....it took me three four months to get up the courage to even try it. I know a lot of people feel pressured to make progress fast...but I think if you are doing it for fun and enjoyment, you can take as long as you like to learn the moves!
Joel, thanks for posting this video. I'm always waiting for u to post videos on moves you've extracted from advanced polers, and try it out. I will try this out. seems fun...you make it look easy to hold...! fun Masonite moment too!
Voelle, you shouldn't have any problem doing this move...it has kind of a yoga sensibility to it...almost like a "pose" on the pole. It does scrape the skin on the underarm a little bit, though...
HAHAHAHA that was a good one * i wasnt expecting to see that in one of your videos HAHA * im still laughing * its guess its the way you did it ha funny stuff
anyway neat move ive never seen before * that would look super cool rotator style * i couldnt do it though * maybe cause ive only been awake for like 15 minutes HAHAHA
I'm glad youhad a chance to see it...too bad the music was yanked...it was actually in time to the beat! This move was easier than the other thing I am trying...reversing onto a superinvert and a shoulder mount. No joy yet...just a lot of red marks on my shoulders!
Thanks! This move is not TECHNICALLY hard...but it does require some real strength in the armpit or "buddy" grip wrapped around the pole. One thing about the move is that it does kind of make your belly stick out..ha ha...so that's why I put on a shirt!
Yes, Michula and Terry do a real hot and funky dance with some nice sideways moves and floor to pole knee hook transitions. This was the ONLY move inthe video I thought I could do...!
Well done Joel! I love that move, I haven't paid attention to it when done by others really as most seem to use it as a simple slide down transition... I must try it some time!
The audio swap takes AGES... It's taken me up to 24 hours sometimes to get the new track on. Patience my friend.
Ohhhh so that's the problem. I was very frustrated...waited for 2 hours to switch the video off of PRIVATE...still, no music. LOL! It hadn't occured to me that Edward Grieg is from nearby Norway. Next time I will pick something Finnish. Unfortunately, the only Finnish CD's I have--VARTTINNA-- are not on a You-Tube partner. Yes, this move is more about strength than technical difficulty. I did get it to slide a little, but I am already so close to the ground, there is no point! Kiitoksia paljon!
Thanks, Chelcie... man, I was so bummed when they yanked my music...'cuz that was a PERFECTLY timed booty pop, ha ha. If my audio swap ever goes through, it's just gonna look strange! By the way...I had the same thought about the aerial invert. Really, the only thing holding me back is space up top. If I can drag myself out to the park at 6-7 AM, before the kids...I've got a place to practice that's tall enough...with no distractions
i wants to seeee!! i drive by a school park on my way to the studio.. so far the only park that as a "fire pole" thats not like so close to anything u cant do anything on it.. but it is a school park.. so.. kinda hesitant.. but it doesnt mean i dont think about it everytime i see it ^o^
Ha Ha...the booty shake actually MATCHED the beat of the original song. It's going to look pretty weird with the classical music on Audio Swap! Oh well, that's crazy You-Tube for ya' It's a nice move...probably looks much better done by a flexible dancer that can put some more leg extension into it. One disadvantage...it does kind of make the belly poof out. But Michula and Terry have such perfectly fit bods, they looked great! But I decided to put on a dark shirt!
