@GregWn Umm.. No, winners don't know ahead of time. That only happens with People's Choice and Teenage Choice Awards. Golden Globes, Academy Awards and The Emmys are all kept secret until they open that envelope with the winners name. All of the nominees show up every year.

Hugo was a Scorsese masterpiece. A children's film that could be enjoyed by EVERYONE. I guess, as a film junkie, I LOVED Hugo, it truly was an achievement! Deathly Hallows was great, but probably very slippery when it comes to Best Picture noms. If there is anything for Deathly Hallows I truly believe that Alan Rickman should have gotten a supporting actor nomination for his brilliant portrayal of Snape! :')

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was way better than Hugo. Hugo's just being acclaimed all because it's a Martin Scorcese movie. HP should have gotten that nomination for Best Motion Picture-Drama. The people that run these awards clearly don't know a good fantasy when the see one (except for Lord of the Rings). I hope HP gets major Oscar nominations otherwise im gonna be pissed! >_<

Do not judge a show/movie/series etc. if you have never seen it. Nothing annoys me more when people just go off of generalizations and assumptions they have heard. If something/someone is nominated, believe it or not, there's probably a good reason for that.

I hate the golden globes, they always focused on films that are not in the race and gave to them loads of nominations, this year was The Ides of March, a weak script and solid performances are not a good match, the past year was The Tourists, and the list goes. Now they are guilty if Ryan Gosling is not nominated for an oscar for DRIVE, his best performance this year, I HATE THEM!!

I think alot of the nominations are terrible this year. Where the hell is Michael C Halls nominations. I get why Matthew Morrison and Lea michelle arent nominated for Glee again but chris Colfer deserves a nomination as well as Jane Lynch who isn't as good this season, but who is always brilliant non the less. Lets hope for the acting awards the Oscars realises the performances better.
