to GrantNeufeld. The calgary public library is the worst government funded library in Canada. If just rely on governemnt and no business donation...wed probably only have around 6 or less than 10 branches.

I found the references to "customers" a little off-putting. I see libraries as a component of democratic _citizenship_, not as a business. A library is an investment in community.
That said, the library does totally rock my world!
