Wow! This is really perfect inside the kitchen. Although I am not really sure that growing tomatoes and strawberries using the aerogarden is really possible because there doesn't seem to have enough space for the plants...
@a2vr6t how much did he yield? i was thinking about getting one of these & getting some lowryder/ak-47 seeds from the joint doc. please, can u provide some info.
Its far too small for the money. Looks like theres a 2' growlux tube in there or something, and probably the smallest fountain pump you can get.
Looks good, but if you consider what its actually made from, theres no way you'd buy it. Not when you could have something many times the size for a fraction of the price.
I've recently knocked up a sort of drip/NFT hybrid type thing for outdoor use. All well, except for the strawbs. Check it out on my channel, I'd appreciate some feedback. :)
Then why did you bother even loading or watching the video if you have no interest in Hydroponics??? You just merely wasting your own time... Hydroponics nutrients simply replace what they dont get from just plain water, Soil grown plants have many diseases and must be washed quite well before consumption a hydroponic plant on the other hand can be eaten straight from the plant..
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
anytime someone talks about hydroponics i think of someone wanting to grow pot. i mean c'mon, why would someone shell out big bucks for some plastic/metal/electric contraption to grow a couple of basil plants in their kitchen? you can't grow anything organically with hyrdroponics; it's pure chemical growing. no microbial life, no michorizae interactions, etc. it's just force feeding plants by chemical means. i have no interest in this.
take a coffee can, but out a hole, add a net up. cut a 1/4 inch hole for a fish tank bubbler and hose.. and you save alot for money. there ya can add a pepper plant.. or those small tomato plants
Although Oxygen is a "waste" product of photosynthesis, the roots still need some oxygen to be healthy. Plants need water and last time I checked water has oxygen in it.
I don't know why this comment got a thumbs down. It's true. Plants take in CO2 and release Oxygen. Mammals and other vertebrates however, take in oxygen and release CO2. It's a basic fact of life.
carbonated water? it is just a small air pump, same thing as whats in a fish tank. and it just gives the roots the oxygen they need along with the nutrient solution:)
unlike growing with soil with somthing like this you need to buy nutrients to add to the water can cost a lot more that soil and you need to know you ph levels to dus buying a ph reading meter
aero my arse- this is a top fed system not aeroponics.... aeroponics involves the spraying of roots with super fine mist, not dripping liquid through the pot and down the roots-that is hydroponic-not aeroponic
My friend, CO2 is expensive and tricky to use. What I do that works just as good as CO2 gas, is I clean out a spray bottle, put carbonated water in it, and then spray down the plants 3 times daily. I only do this during the flowering state. You don't need to do it during the vegetative state. And if you do this, make sure the water in your spray bottle is fizzy.
And if your worried about the smell, then you can buy an ozone generator. It completely eliminates the smell, but it costs A LOT.
google hydroponics store in a city near you. I found a great one 1 hour away from me. there isnt much to an aeroponics system. just a light, bubbler, growing medium, and bucket/container.
it grows plants quick. mine works well. ive tried herds now im gonna try real herb. the light cycle is just short enough to flower on the right setting. ive tried with a test plant using the light from the areo garden. it will fit all 7 sea of green size plants no problem. maybe even with a week or 2 of veg.
you wont get much. if you are going to invest $150 in a system, buy your own ballast kit, light, and make your own system. it is not hard. there are instruction all over the internet.
this is a piece of crap and a disgrace to growers....its not aeroponics....its hydroponics and its a bad system at that....just for you nube growers..aeroponics is grown in the air with misters on the plants and it sprays every hr or so and hydroponics is when the plant is constantly submerged in water
Its still aeroponic even if you dont use misters, if the roots are hanging in the air, as in this unit, it doesnt matter whether, you mist them, drip them or spray them, Hydroponics, the roots are maintained moist by a constant flow of water, sometimes bubblers are used to add more oxigent to the water. in some systems, its really hard to tell the difference between Hydro or Aero. and then you have Aquaponics ( fish ) pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure that oxygen is a waste product of photosynthesis. Plants require carbon dioxide to grow, not oxygen.
