Nice racing. I like Waluigi Stadium, though I tend to get owned a lot by the end of it. What happened to you at the end sucked though..it reminded me of how bad 150cc was with it's item bombardment. >_>

Manual you can select before you start a race, but it doesn't have anything to do with gears in Mario Kart, just getting turbo boosts when drifting

I'm afraid you can't. You can agree in friend races not to use weapons, but there's not actually any sort of option online to turn them off.

Only karts can get the red boosts, bikes can't, if you use them. To get the red boosts just hold down the drift button for longer.

Are you using bikes? Red boosts can't be used with bikes.

You have to be using a kart. When the blue sparks appear keep drifting until they turn red, then stop the drift.
