@ussreliant1: Precicely. They were looking to imitate The Motion Picture, as Nemesis was to be the last Star Trek movie at the time, a tribute to the origins of the theme.
@jimbopumbapigsticks You know what an orchestra conductor does? He dictates the tempo, and faster tempo means more work physically. It's just my opinion, but I think the very slow pace was more than an artistic choice.
@RUDYRAY67 nice I m glad someone has the motive to listen to this such an inspirational theme!!! I do too listen this every morning , wonder one day our future will be like this!!!! no war, disease, poverty, ghosts, demons and all other bull#####, lol =)))))))
THanks for the post long live the Start ship Enterprises
This is for all of the Trekkies here complaining about the new film.
A. This is not the place. Take your debates to a discussion forum.
B. You all sound like you all did when Nemesis came out. People bashed it as not being real trek because it was more focused on action and explosions. Sound familiar? Trek is evolving, something it needs if it wants to survive as a series. All those people claiming the the new film is so bad need to open up their eyes and see it for the good film it is.
@isantop Well said. I enjoyed Nemesis and the new film. Truthfully, I enjoy every Star Trek film. The People who constantly complain need to stop whining and get over it.
This track realy does have an "end of an era" feel about it. It signalled the end of the TNG movies run and unfortunately the end of Trek as we once knew it too.
Talking about how the Abrams film raped one's childhood is perhaps the most unnecessarily emo thing I've recently read. Especially in a thread about Nemesis.
I had no objection to the alternate universe aspect of it. Throughout the ST history, many things similar to alternate universes have been plot points, the difference is that now the alternate universe is the point of focus for more than just a plot arc.
@Cyke101 lol who said that star trek films rape kids minds, and how?? and yeh the violin is not invented yet, as they would need to make the violin nano.
@joshfish2 To see who's been complaining about the latest Star Trek film as if it was a personal insult directed at them, simply read some of the other comments in this thread.
Tell me which of these new "Hollywood young stars" is not. Who is gonna be the so called replacement for The Picard, Data, Riker, Deanna, Geordi, etc., and not be a shameful ghastly shadow of the original?
@starschwar I like the way things are in the new one. The entire timeline has been rewritten before. On one episode of Enterprise everyone died and they had to rewrite the timeline so that the Xindi didn't destroy the Earth. The entire crew of the Enterprise D died and Picard went back and saved them. Basically, I don't think you CAN restore things the way they were without causing more trouble. Once things have been change KEEP them that way and don't try to change them.
@starschwar um you do realise there is nothing that can be done right? the situation was preventable but the federation AND the romuland star empire did nothing. it was only until AFTER romulus was destroyed was the galaxy saved. it could have been stopped before the hobus star went nova.
@starschwar That would be so good. could you imagine the look on The Enterprises crew's faces face when they see the Enterprise-E come through a time rift. just gawking at how huge it is
I think they should alter the course of time further, since starfleet would have to study how to combat anything the romulans would send again that were as deadly as the narada, that would mean faster ships, so chances of discovery of the borg would happen earlier. since there is one thing forcertain that is happening no matter what, a borg ship is comming.
Even though these are end credits, the human adventure never ends!

It's sad that you can tell from this performance that Goldsmith was nearing his death, especially at the end the Trek theme is too slow.

yea or somehow make q appear in this alternate timeline and interact with crew(since he is a multidimensional being of sorts)
Swatyo 2 years ago
it's sad, that this part of the score only pops up for some seconds in Star Trek 11.
I would like to see the next generation crew in a new film again. Perhaps in a new meeting of generations.

I'd love to have Q send the TNG crew into the rebooted timeline of Trek XII to set things right (or less wrong, anyway).
