When I moved to Alabama as a kid, the family we bought land from had a 9 year old Lab called "Black Jack". When my family bought the property, they wanted to put Black Jack down, but fate was Black Jack became ours. I treated him with kindness and that amazing dog followed me around for two years when I was a wandering kid, always served as a lookout dog. Old labs are just as amazing as puppies. German Shepherds will always be my favorite breed, but labs are my extremely close second.
