try actually drifting high horsepower american muscle it's a lot harder than drifting the lighter japanese rwd's because the weight distribution is almost always more up front due to heavy v8's. Also what about the v8 supras that I've seen drift those are japanese too yet they have v8's in em. Lighter cars are always easier to handle than a heavy car with high horsepower.

V8 supra's???? Any way all the drivers of the american cars just slam on the gas and let there 700hp cars power over through the corner. You think it takes more skill to drift a Mustang with that much Hp vs a ae86 with like 175hp well you sir are an idiot. The American cars such, they have such slow transitions and thats what is really exicting about drifting, not when they just slam on the gas.

They are professional drivers, they know how to take a corner quickly, but drifting isn't about racing. It's about going sideways. Try it - it's fun.

Therefore, drifting has no racing strategy. It's just watching cars burnout over and over again.

These guys wouldn't last in Formula 1, INDY, GT, NASCAR, ARCA, or the 24 hours Le Mans.

errr... firstly because they only come in AWD, secondly because it's a lot easier to build an already RWD car to drift than convert an AWD car to rear drive, and then build it. There is an Evo in the Formula D series here in the states but I don't know how well he's done...

i doubt you could beat a 50 year old autocross veteran... gripping around the track takes SKILL, not that drifting doesn't... but 240's are probably the EASIEST cars to drift.

You know what? When a grip racer learns a track with its optimal lines then going round n round a track on the same way that is mostly just experience.

Drifting properly, adapting to the car in front realtime takes much more skills. Btw, many racers couldnt avoid a spin if their cars lost grip.

Drifting is the motorsport takes the most skill.
