5-20 gallon filter....does it knock ur fish around with the current? or is there a adjuster? Cause i know bettas dont like currents and in ur video it seems he is almost gliding in the water lol and thats awesome...if you could get back to me you'd be a great help!! =]
@twe93 I cut the cylinder out of a plastic coke bottle and cut one side of it open to make it like a curly rectangle. I taped it over the filter so the flow comes out the sides instead of into the middle of the tank. i learned it from youtube, so look around! hope that helps
Hey May i ask a question? =/....i'm having a problem with my 5 gallon tank...its a mini bow 5 gallon and its a really nice tank...only problem is the filter it came with went down south and i had to replace it and the problem is the replacement filter i got for it was a aqueon power filter 10 gallon...and it works really great..only problem is it has no flow adjustment and its knocking my cory catfish around really bad...and i was wondering since u have a aquaclear 20 and it says on the box
@seanjr55 My tank is 5 gallons. Yes, you can have oto cats in a 5 gallon tank, but it's not recommended, since otos like to be in schools. I needed some algae control; that's why I had them in there.
Not sure why...but your otocinclus look stressed. The spasmic very fast motions of the one on the left is really odd compared to my oto's movements. They act like that when I put my hand in the tank and move thing around on them. Are they still alive by chance?
Yes, they're still alive, and they have always acted like that -- swimming fast one minute then relaxing on the sides of the glass or on the ornaments the next. I have had them since August 2009
I don't have a heater for them and they're doing fine, but it wouldn't hurt to have one. Others would probably recommend a heater for these cute little fish but the room temperature in my house is fairly high, so mine are fine without one

there shouldn't be a daily fluctuation in temperature of over 4 degrees farenheit, and the temperature can't drop below 72 degrees farenheit.
