We should drill our own oil and this is not the solution it is an OPPORTUNITY. If we had opened up Anwr when Clinton was in office we could have been raking in the loot and keeping it in our economy instead of sending our dollars to people who really don't like us. Palin doesn't say it's the SOLUTION! It's part of an overall reform of our energy situation that contains many facets such as nuclear, clean coal, geothermal, wind, solar, hydro and, LNG energy production.

She isn't "dumm". The question was about drilling, not alternative forms of energy, which is why she didn't mention it. She has mentioned several times that oil, coal, gas, nuclear and wind power should all be utilized.

Oil originating in Alaska will not reduce America's foreign regime dependency, because the "new" oil from Alaska will be used up ALONG WITH the volumes of oil presently bought abroad.
