my daddy used to love these guys, i thought, omg, my dad is soo cool at the time, cause i was hearing them on the radio & loved them, then he bought the 8 track, i still have it.
Me and my mom love this song and about 8 years ago she was diagnosed with cancer and she's been through surgery and the doctors said the cancer stopped spreading.. but in the last year she has started getting alot of fevers and is noseous alot.. but she refuses to see a doctor, since she's dealt with that once before. I've been away for college now and i learned the song, but whenever i come home, i just cant bring myself to perform it for her... i'm afraid of her knowing that i'm scared for her
@obi234 Feeling for you and your pain ... at the possible loss of your mum....i just lost both of my folks witin 23mths.....If you have learned this song and it is a favorite of both of yours, the one thing I can tell you, is to play it and share it with her.....make ALL the Memories you can in the time that you have, so that there will be NO REGRETS and no would`a could`a should`a 's when it's all said and done..... <3
This video is full of irony for me. This is my favorite song that has nothing to do with Billy, but now it does. This is the first song that ever evoked tears from me when I was young. It's just so heartfelt and John's voice is so perfect for it.
I smoked a LOT of weed back in those days. Johny Fogerty is one of the most original musicians in the history of rock. Was he from New Orleans to justify his swamp-rock? No, he was from the SF bay area along with the Doobie Brothers and Tower Of Power and many other acts of the late 60's and 70's. Great Music!!
@buffspringfield Oh Yea"Back in the Day" Today! it's still good...............Brings back memories of listening to CCR on a 8 track during trips to the Colorado River when I was just a weed smoking youngin.
@buffspringfield Oh Yea"Back in the Day" Today! it's still good...............Brings back memories of listening to CCR on a 8 track during trips to the Colorado River when I was just a weed smoking youngin.

@Doyley3731 I DO, I DO!! Great works live on forever, that's one of the surest signs of their genius and gift to all who have ears that can actually listen, let alone hear.
@pulsar16v Yes, young fella. The old stuff is still the very many love vibrations. It was a time where we thought we could live properly; off of the land; in Communes. But it was only a dream; one very beautiful dream albeit, but still, a dream. There were many people who built Cabins in the woods near water. It was a wonderful time to be alive.
@N1k3JuzDuzIt96 He's old man he can't yell like he used to plus the original band isn't there they mess it all up They do a lot of bass parts in guitar and it just messed it the hell up. But still it's very good
@N1k3JuzDuzIt96 It's not all about the Performance. Those that go to concerts and hoping for a great performance are rather stupid.
In my opinion, the sole purpose of concerts are to see them Live. See them perform the songs with their heart and soul whether it's better or worse than the Studio Version.
I saw John Fogerty 2010 at Peace and Love Festival in Sweden. Although he can't sing like before, it was the most amazing Concert I've ever seen in my entire life.
There could onley be one on the top....the name? John Fogerty and still have performance to make us listening to his music....for me he is the number 1 still coming up whith good music.

'The Rain' was the chemical defoliant 'agent orange' which was so liberally spayed over servicemen and jungles in Vietnam. John knew it was wrong but in those days the radio play of protest songs was not guaranteed. John wrote the right mix, caused debate and still got it on the air.
Going to St Augustine to see him it is going to be a blast......... one of my favs from way back...............can't wait..............Who in their right mind could not like this?
@OldMusicftw I like the notion you hold, but unfortunately that could be not exactly right. In most cases it's not because "they aren't great musicians" - especially for singers, simply because they're aging; their voices become deeper, lower, weren't able to hit the high notes as they used to be and those physiological changes are beyond our control.
That's why I'm surprised and glad that John Fogerty seemed to take really good care of his voice.
@herroIMlilo This is John Fogerty, lead singer of CCR, so it's basically ccr, just more modernized. So i'm pretty sure this song kicks ass if John is singing it, can't get much better than the original , but it pretty damn close
@herroIMlilo "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" is a song written by John Fogerty and released in 1970 on the album Pendulum by American roots rock group Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Creedence Clearwater Revival (sometimes shortened to Creedence or CCR) was an American rock band
The group consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty, his brother and rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook, and drummer Doug Clifford.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Have u lied? Have u stolen? Jesus said if you look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery with here in your heart. have u done that?
If God judge’s u by the Ten Commandments will u be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? Does this concern you?
Do u need a Savior from your sins?
