I had a 4 hour outage 9pm to 1am, last week.Very rare in coastal California and I think the longest we have had here. It was a good test. OurpPlugged in emergency lights went on so we were not fumbling for flash lights. I lit a candle with chimneys, a candle with a magnfying mirror and turned on battery lights. I keep a lot of different type of emergency lights from gas to candle, battery and solar charging lights. Lots of matches, fire starters and a load of wood.. Always plan ahead! What if?

Never have to replace battery, plug it back in to the wall. It recharge automatically. 5 year warranty!
