Fucking morons who think that any body of water is suitable for holding fish, not caring at all if its actually even remotely resembling a natural habitat
@cheetahprint100 The sodium silicate solution is toxic. After the crystals grow, you can replace it with water, but heavy metals will leach into the water from the rocks and kill your fish.
If you remove the salty water will crystalss remain itself for long time? Is it strong material i mean if you touch will it break or its like solid rock? Good job :D
@samiroshon440 It's toxic to fish. Even after you switch out the growing solution with water, the metal salts used to make the shapes would poison the fish.
@TheAwsome3138 Pop Rocks are candy that contain carbon dioxide. They would give off bubbles for a minute or so and then simply dissolve. Magic Rocks are metal salts that combine with the silica in the "magic" solution to form the shapes.
@agne237 Thanks :) You can either use a timer or else a computer to have the camera take a picture at a certain interval. The data was saved to a computer since it would have filled the camera memory very quickly. The camera was a Canon EOS Rebel Xsi with its kit lens. The resulting images were imported into Adobe Premiere to make a movie.
How???

are you telling me a fly was in their buzzing and floating around for12 hours!
sonicboom774 4 weeks ago 28
@sonicboom774 It died pretty early on. The photography lights generate a lot of heat, producing convection in the liquid.

@TheMburak If you remove the liquid, the crystals will remain, but their appearance eventually will change because of reactions with air.

@beedybeez22s It takes about 12 hours or half of a day. You'll see growth immediately, while you watch.
