@Djemps That is a point on both counts. I have seen them available with wooden scales and I think that would be better. At least for my taste. Do you know much about the history of the design it seems like it could be very old indeed. I haven't found much in my preliminary searches.
@colddrake80 My first peasant knife has wooden scales (which I love). I purchased more to try different modifications. I know that this is at least a 300 year old design, but friction folders were used all through the middle ages. There are even folders from ancient Rome.
I'm pretty sure you lost this knife. Take better care of your stuff.

@RochesterSportRifles In other words, you've got it at your house?

@RochesterSportRifles Actually, it's been in the buffet drawer in the dining room this whole time. We just to need to make some wooden scales for it.

@THA7MANJB Thank you. Now that the college semester is over, I hope to modify a few more peasant blades. Maybe I'll have some more videos up soon.

Pink? Why did they go with pink? What did I ever do to them? Thanks for the demonstration.

@colddrake80 ... well... You aren't going to lose a pink knife anytime soon. Or would you deliberately lose it to get rid of it?
