Hey Mojo, I just began watching & you are an inspiration. I always wanted to learn the finger picking patern for Bob Dylan's "Don't think twice". Is it possible that there will be a video in the future? It would sure make my days on this earth more enjoyable just to learn that song. Keep up the great work. Thanks again,

yea i do have to say, Ive played rythm guitar for bout 4 years never tried any outgoing blues always looked to hard, but i sat down and in about 10 minutes i had this lil riff down and some confidence back in my playing thanx.
HOOAH! i just did all that! amazing man....you pretty much taught me how to play guitar. i followed every chord in your website..then i was playing songs in a day...then some blues....HOOAH!
Mojo isn't your johnny Cash finger on the G instead of the D string? or are you in standard tune? when you showed your guitar up close it looked like you were playing a D7 chord but starting on the 3rd fret...maybe I'm mistaken exxxxxxcuuuuuuusee meee if I'm wrong...lol
Hey Mojo.. Great stuff. Thanks for the videos, I love them. There was a comment earlier about you possibly saying "D" when in fact you are playing and meant the "G" string with the Johny Cash digit. The "G" of course sounds right and your video shows "G". Just checking and clarifying. Thanks again.
Oreodontist, your from Maritimes, Cool, MOJO where you from Bro ? I am from Debert Nova Scotia, AKA Yes we have French Acadian here :) Love your teachings, love to see some HD DVD done sometime so I can play them on my TV and practice. Just a thought. I be willing to Pay :) Anyone else ?? Thoughts
Ha! I was reading the comentss and there's some discussion about the a hint of accent. I don't hear it so I asked my wife and she said Mojo and I both have similar accents...I'm Acadian originally from the Canadian maritimes (Nouvelle Ecosse).
From a Utahn's perspective, I hear the accent really strong on the (oo, ou, sh, s and d sounds) It's a fun accent to listen to, unlike some of the nails on chalkboard accents of well... other places.
I've discovered some though for us pick users.....
If you want to use a pick, hold the pick in your thumb and index finger, and play the top note, while using your middle finger and ring finger to play the higher strings
Hey Mojo thank you so much , that really helps out alot. Now I just have to practice more. I'm into blues and R&B, you know any R&B thats three chords?
could you please teach me (and i know a lot of other ppl) how to play solo's on E?
Me and a friend play the blues a lot but we only use the 2 E Minor scales (low one that starts on low E open and the high one that starts on E on the 12th fret).
but when you play, you play a lot more different notes.
the thing is: could you please show us in a vid which scales fit with a nice E Blues Riff?
Just got my first electric and stumbled upon your excellent lessons, thank you so much! After struggling to get the right sound with your "finger picking blues intro in E", I found that you say to use J.C. finger on D, 4th fret. You however use G, 4th fret. I found this by pausing the video Countless times and looking at your fingers close up. I aspire to play as smoothly as you do so keep giving us material! Marko in CT
My mothers side of family is Cajun and my cousins all have almost same accent as you is why I ask. I enjoy your lessons as I am a harmonica player that is trying to learn to be a better guitar player. Thanks and keep it up.
I stumbled onto these. Took some of their advice and tips. And now I only play HALF as lousy. Getting better, but Still ain't ready for Nashvile yet. KEEP IT UP.
Thank you so much for your videos! I just stumbled onto your stuff and I love it! I need all the instruction I can get:) I appreciate what you're doing on youtube:) Be blessed!
loved this video I leaarned this and most of what im playing is from your videos... but this one is great but can i just ask whatis this a song of anybody or you made it??... but its really good :D
Brisbane, huh? My, this is great... I could never teach in Brisbane, but now via the Internet, I can... gotta love that! Thanks for watching the video, and my thanks to your friend for recommending me :)
Awesome riff. I learned it, and decided to change it around a litte to make it...not "better", but different. Just to add a little of my own sound to it. So, Thanks! Your vids are helping me out a lot!
Thanks again! Sweet riff, I learned it and then changed it around a bit so I could, personally, make it sound...not "better", just different. Gave a bit of my own sound to it. Anyway, just wanted to say that your vids are a big help!
hi ive been looking at your videos and learning them i think there all great riffs! had a look at the web site as well which is helpfull! do you have the tabs too the songs that you have posted? thanks
Thanks for the kind words. No I don't have tabs at this stage, since I usually explain just about finger by finger what I am doing, but I may have to get there at some point. The site is only a week old, so there's much much more in store that I haven't had a chance to get to yet! :)
Thanks for watching the vids and visiting the site. I appreciate it!
