This was one of my dad's favorite song's, we use to ride down the street blasting this on his motorcycle. I now cry when I hear this song. I love you daddy! 1943-2010. :'(
I first heard this on on an 8-track copy of the K-Tel album "24 Greatest Dumb Ditties," a collection of classic kooky novelty songs including "Monster Mash", "Here Come the Judge," "Short Shorts," "Little Arrows,""Beans in my Ears," "The Ballad of Irving," "The Martian Hop" and several others. For this one, though, I kinda pictured Mr. Peanut of Planters tap-dancing to the tune. Wonder if they ever used it as an ad jingle?
In the slideshow I noticed Brazil nuts in that bowl of assorted xmas nuts...yes, brazil nuts...are they a product of Brazil and where can I buy them around these parts. Thx for any info.
I definetly remember this song by Roger miller, it was a minor hit here in Vancouver Cda in 66/67, but only hearing a song like this once, may mean it isn't easially forgotten. I've never heard of Leroy before now(thx4 postin'), but he seems to sing country bluegrass, which got no airplay here I tell you. Even today's country takes a back seat to Lady Ga Ga & pop. Anyway I notice Tiny Tim over to the right has a related video...will I check her out or will I go onto Yellow?

@Ezdduf4kuZ Bill Anderson was roommates with Roger Miller and knew him well. Bill told me that this is not Roger Miller.
