OH MY CHEESCAKE I love them,,I have been looking for this version of the andrews sisters with the glenn miller orchestra singing begin the beguine....do you think you can post it by itself....please....=)...♥
This is fast becoming my fav Andrews Sisters tune and I can't thank you enough for introducing me to it. I'm sure those solid older fans of the Sisters or Glenn Miller as well as younger people just learning about these awesome artists and their impact on music and the world will be pleased. For the Andrews Sisters, this collaboration came about roughly a year before Don Raye's "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy". The loss of Glenn Miller cannot be adequately expressed in words, it's so tragic.
No problem. I like to share music that I enjoy. Newcomers to artists like the Andrews Sisters would be pleased, unless they are interested by the artist that they are listening to. My friend actually said that the Andrews Sisters are awesome, just today (coincidentally)! That's very interesting informationfrom the album and about "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", I'll put it in the description. Thanks! I was very shocked to hear that Glenn died at such a young age. It saddened me.
1939 was Glenn Miller's breakthrough year, and at the end of it he earned his own network radio show, broadcast on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights at 10 p.m. over CBS. The Andrews Sisters stayed with the show only for the first 13 weeks.
The sound quality here is outstanding and makes it hard to believe it's a radio broadcast from almost 70 years ago! Thank you for sharing this treasure.
Great music. just wondering if you have the Chesterfields Broadcast of the Andrews Sisters and the Glenn Miller Orchestra performing WELL ALL RIGHT (TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT)? Heard this song on XM Radio. Great, great music and vocals. The Andrew Sisters have really amazing voices. Many Thanks for posting these two songs from the Chesterfield Broadcasts.
I'm very dissapointed and sad to say this, but no I don't. I have the recording of "Well All Right" though. If you'd like, I could post that up, though it's not from the Chesterfields' Broadcasts.
