It wont be overturned, it is legally invalid to equate Ethnic Minorities and Gays. There is NO Legal Decision at the U.S. Supreme Court or at any other level that Specifically defines Gays as a minority. There are plenty of Decisions that define Marriage rights, Hate crimes or other Civil Rights but nothing specifically about Gays. Thats why its not getting overturned here in Cali. What they'll do is they'll uphold 8 as a law that took effect on election day but does not invalidate the "marriages" that were granted before the new law took effect. To be afraid of a tiny part of the population (your conservative figure is 1-4%), is pathetic. Are gays affected by what YOU do in bed? What's it to you what other consenting adults do? Isn't marriage better than promiscuity?
Being straight or gay is not a choice. Being an obnoxious religious terrorist is a choice. If there is a faith-based haters will be judged more harshly than gays.

There have been several homosexuals represented in congress and voting on the very laws used to govern people in the U.S. How many heterosexual couples can't or do not produce children? Should they be seen different under the eyes of the law?
If you want marriage to be "sacred", would you ban divorce? Would you make it a requirement that a man and a woman who enter into matrimony must be in love? How about "shot-gun weddings" or the kind that are entered into only because of a certain "circumstance"?
The bottom line is still that you are discriminating against gays, while offering no real reason. The "sacred" bit I just shot out of the pond, so you'll have to do better.

When it comes to children or ploygamous marriages, there are issues of consent and exploitation that do not arise in the case of marriages between consenting adults. Your parallel between gender segregation and racial segregation is also bogus. Women only health club exist right alongside mixed-gender health clubs; no one is unable to attend a mixed-gender club.

I see it at school in my communications and all through high school. Chief Justice George, Justice Corrigan, Moreno, Chin all are leaning towards desiding that it was an Amendment not a Revision. I will say though that I like the Positive approach you take to this issue, the makers of this video chose not to go negative and thats what helps the cause.

Yeah, but the problem is that the "judges" will also probably state that the same gender "marriages" that took place before the amendment will be considered valid, and I'm sure that will be based on the same contrived nonsense that the previous ruling was based on. So in reality these rats will take Prop 8 and inject their opinons into it, thus undermining the will of the people, again. You Californians need to throw the damn judges out. They do not have the authority to twist the constitution.

It wont be overturned, it is legally invalid to equate Ethnic Minorities and Gays. There is NO Legal Decision at the U.S. Supreme Court or at any other level that Specifically defines Gays as a minority. There are plenty of Decisions that define Marriage rights, Hate crimes or other Civil Rights but nothing specifically about Gays. Thats why its not getting overturned here in Cali. LEGALLY the "Choice" or "born that way" debate has to be answered in a Decision before anything can move forward.

What they'll do is they'll uphold 8 as a law that took effect on election day but does not invalidate the "marriages" that were granted before the new law took effect. They will take an amendment that says "only marriage between one man and one woman is recognized or valid" and out of their own wanton volition will distort that clear meaning to fit their own unconstitutional ideals of fairness. We in Cali along with Voting to Pass Prop 8 also voted for Re-Districitng which passed but we are still years away from not only it being implemented and enforced but also seeing a positive effect from it. California Politics are embedded very nicely. And no one especially Pelosi, Feinstein, Boxer, Newsom. Villagarosa, Brown want it changed any time soon. Because then thy'd be out a a job too.

Well if California cannot be fixed, then I guess my only suggestion would be for all the right minded and moral people to move east before God smites the entire state. Preferably a few miles or more east of the San Andreas fault... if you get my drift.
