I saw this show three times. Johnny Wright was a way better Johnny than Jake Simons. His voice was better, his dancing was better, and he brought more passion and energy to the role. And he was much better to look at with his shirt off. :)

Thanks, I did as you suggested. I particularly enjoyed "Merengue" and "Dirty Dancing (Toronto) "Johnny's Mambo" Johnny Wright." It was really nice to see the mambo in full again. I find I (by in large) prefer the musical choreography to the movie one.

It's interesting to see a different Penny. Britta Lazenga in Boston was also incredible.

I just saw this last night. I loved it! The lift scene was maybe my favourite scene other than the finale. It's way better than the movie. There's nothing like seeing it on stage. I wish I could've met the cast. They were really good. I loved how Monica(the girl who plays Baby) actually acte like she had no idea what she was doing in the beginning.

Think I must have been missing something, but I hated we will rock you!!! with a passion! when i think of the talent that used to perform in that theatre, like Rebecca Caine and Colm wilkinson, in Phantom...then the bring a ROCK CONCERT into a venue with such grandeur...it was a slap in the face to theatre...really pissed me off that they where selling glow sticks and icecream and popcorn too. Dirty Dancing was way better!

I loved it too! What great dancing by the girl who plays "Penny." Amazing! We had the best seats. Front row in the lower balcony. They were perfect. I heard that the flu was running through the cast but the understudies are fantastic and can easily step in when necessary. How did you get to meet the performers?
