@wiiplayer9isback yep you guys are right, cabin pressure is used to flush, it goes into the waste tank, while waste water from the sink, galleys are thrown overboard..
@zeekzilch That noise is probably the plug-hole in the sink! Like the toilet itself, the sinks use a vacuum to drain them which is sucking all the time the plug is raised.
@zeekzilch iv been there inside the bathroom plane so i get scared of toilets and now am 20 yrs old and i am scared of plane toilets style and flushing, and by the way incase im sucked inside the vacuum toilet and its always scares me.
applesweeter for me flying is more than just love.. We as land mammals were never intended to fly. But as man we said to heck with that and did it anyway. It’s a break of natural rules, which gives a perhaps false feeling of winning and freedom.
Your last three questions I can answer with one explanation.. There IS no comparison to an airplane's toilet to my toilet at home. It is completely different making it an interesting experience every time we use it.
@2bp. I hope so. I should think that first and business class loos should be better maintained though. But as males usually stand up to urinate as the male anatomy accomodates for this feature and planes can move a lot (ie turbulance) it does seem very probable that there will be a lot of urine on the floor. Men: can't piss with us. Can't piss without us.
trust me out of all the parts us guys know best our little wee wee
And we can aim that thing with marked precision. a planes movement isn't going to through our aim.Us guys miss the toilet usually by choice.why we do I still do not know or can explain. But most of us men when we go to a public toilet if we decide to miss we usually miss on purpose.. One, because I guess we think its funny and or two, maybe some link to the cave man times to mark our territory (perhaps)
On my flight back from Antigua on BA. I had no socks and I stepped in some very sticky stuff. The worst bit is I looked down and that sticky stuff was White. Eewww...
@jonny240494 Hopefully the sticky stuff was hand detergent/lotion that a previous occupant had spilt on the floor. It takes a very brave person to go into the toilets (even the business class ones) without shoes on!
Well, I've posted over 550 videos - less than 1% of them have anything to do with toilets. Sometimes toilets, especially in exotic places or on planes and trains can be interesting. Sometimes...
mean while 5 people are nearly pissing their pants waiting for this guy to get out of the toilet.

It does sound like O2 is running - probably because forced air is used for a variety of things on an airplane but that's just a guess on my part!

@zeekzilch Probably the cabin pressurization system.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Why do we feel that toilets on aeroplanes are so interesting and so funny?
(3) Compare with the toilets at home, why do we think that aeroplanes' toilets are so special?
(4) Why do we like about using an aeroplane toilets?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

@applesweeter
I can only guess at some answers but here goes:
1. We love flying for the sense of freedom it brings us.
2. Aeroplane toilets are interesting because they're so out of the ordinary experience for most of us.
3. They're so special because they look different and function much differently than what we would normally use at home.
4. I don't think we necessarily like using them so but it's all we've got at
10,000 metres above ground!

Do you think that an aeroplane toilet is a small nice hotel toilet, where you can reach everything in armlength?

Also I believe it could be from a link to childhood teachings..
We may see the airplane as a huge incredible magical machine.. And everything in it belongs to this man made marvel..
The seats are awesome because it is part of the plane.. The magazines and roll down feeding tray are way cool because it is part of "The Airplane"
The toilets are incredible because well its part of that magical machine..
But all this really is it’s our inner child having fun.. (How is that for psychology?)

I usually walk around the plane in my socks for long flights. Unfortunately my socks have stuck to the restroom floors at times...

Advice to zeekzilch: Never go into the toilet in your socks-put on your shoes. Trust me it's good advice!

You are correct about that! On long flights I don't wear shoes but those toilet floors can be very wet and sticky...

Well, to be honest, you do have an entire web page devoted to toilets. LOL.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. That's what makes youtube interesting.
