thank you so very much! after being frustrated with online sellers not responding or shipping out and such, i went out to michaels and bought some twine. i already filtered my beeswax prior to this and was just waiting on twine. this method works, but i did notice my hempwick burnt a bit quicker than the one other hempwick ive used
hey man, are you sure your supose to wait a day to dry? cuz i just finished making mine (your instructions, thank you btw) and its been 20 mins and its all dry now 0.o cool to the touch lol all i did was wait about 5 -10 mins hang dry and then i took it down and threw it in the air like a juggling ball and after a few playful tosses its cool to the touch lol and no heavy amount of wax anywhere, like its all balanced.. try it out next time you make a new batch =]
Is this the stuff thats healthier than lighters? Damn, now im wondering how much butane ive sucked down the last 20 yrs haha thanks for the vid. gonna try it out, peace
@MrFILIPP23 You want to fill the bigger pan with enough water to submerge most of the smaller pan, the one that will hold the wax, but not so much that it floats around. The idea is to let the heat from the simmering water to transfer through the smaller pan to melt the beeswax without burning the wax.
@MrFILIPP23 I think it works out to roughly $5 per 400 foot roll, including shipping, compared to $20 per 200 foot roll, not including shipping, from the industry.
@T0bb5 No problem! I was looking for a "how to" video for myself before buying the materials but I could not find one for the life of me. lol The entire process turned out to be easier than expected and didn't take long at all... in other words, it's well worth the effort.
@kingkrawler yeah i couldn't find anything except this video. I found some other instructions but your method is by far the fasts and easiest. I already ordered some hemp twine and local beeswax and will get started soon. Did you have any trouble with the wax clumping on the twine or anything?
@T0bb5 Not at all! If you hang it to dry there will be less build up at the bottom than if you were to let it drain and cool on a plate. And any excess removed from the twine as you use it can be reused.
thanks for the vid. worked out nice. Seems homemade burns slower

so what'd you do with the leftover beeswax in the pot after you were done? did you just put it in a tupperware container and save it?

@mbozza Yup, it fit perfectly in a three cup container

@thewongfuckinperson You can get this twine at any craft store like Michael's. And it's usually about the same price, too.
Thanks for watching!

@thewongfuckinperson The size of the cord changes the speed at which it burns. So the thicker the cord the slow it burns.

ooh and another question, about how much water do you put into the pot the boil, or is it all wax?
