We were a few guys in Denmark around 1970 who played airguitar to this fantastic band, - still got all the records..bogart and appice were some of the heaviest rythm section around!
@ihpu22 they were and are such a kick arse greasy mutha of a rocknroll band they were'nt exactly pinup boys for clean living, more like the perfect soundtrack for bong smoking acid dropping mushroom munching rock n roll pigs, like me, i discovered them about 77/78 in a 2nd hand record shop and i bought One way or another and thought a bomb had dropped in my lounge, they were the heaviest band i'd heard aside from Sabbath at that time
i grew up in the 70s and cactus was part of my every day listening...I'm 55 and still listen to this album on my Ipod just about every time i'm at the gym...it pumps me up...just like it use to...Love it.
@stockliskirep Right! It's really amazing that I read your response now, as I have just finished listening to Beck, Bogert and Appice's LP from 1973 - with Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" cover.
@oliverecords Yeah they know vanilla Fudge. I bought they're greatest hits album and it was pretty cool but I think Bogart and Appice are just a more exciting and badass rhythm in Cactus. I'll probably end up to listening to some deeper Vanilla Fudge cuts eventually though cause I don't wanna base my opinion of them by just listening to the greatest hits.
One of biggest Influences on so many of the Most Famous Bands of then and now it's a shame that most don't admit it . Cheers to Cactus and their Fans!
Soome fantastic &^$%$ came out of that era. The (times)chemistry was right, musically important to get the profound messages thru in a profound moving yet accurate powerfull way. Trapeze/ black cloud & coast to coast & others. humble pie-30-days in the hole & oth.. Free/ all right!!. Quicksilver Messenger Service. I could go on&on&on. I was priviliged to be there in an amazing way, that allowed me to turn on to what was goin on.
They also did a song called "my brother bill" I've never been able to find it on youtube or anywhere else for that matter. Anyone know where? I haven't heard it since I was a teenager (I'm 57 now) lol. Would love to hear it again.
@ihpu22 Wow, it just goes to show that real good music transcends generations. I'm probably as old as your parents but I bought the 'Resctrictions' album during that time and this was one of my favorite songs!! You rock little brother!.. as does Cactus.

I buy the first record 1970 (Cactus). Sins then they are the greatest band all time.
I saw Vanilla Fudge in Stockholm around 2005. Tim Bogart and Carmin Appice was att the top even then.
